Lots of fun
Although this ecperiment can be done with baking soda and vinegar the rocket makes this so much more fun and is reusable. Kids loved making the ricket and decorating it almost as much as launching it

Fun Gift
Gave this as a Xmas gift to a 7 yr old. He was excited and put it together quickly and easily. His dad helped him with the chemistry part of the set, but I didn’t hear any complaints about it. We flew it twice and it went off fine. It took longer than 10 seconds to launch both times. Maybe 20-30 seconds. Flew as high as our oldest tall trees and landed in one piece. Kids liked it. Overall good purchase.

This rocks! And rockets!
My first attempt at playing pre-school rocketry with my granddaughter was a dud. The rocket was a dismal, and uninteresting, flop. This, on the other hand, was a success!! I'm still not sure she grasps much of the science (that's on me, and her age...), but this at least launches a rocket and is entertaining.

Perfect rocket for little boys
My 5 and 8 year old love nerf guns so getting this rocket for them for Christmas was a no brained. I got this and the first warm day we had, we grabbed a gallon of water and headed to the park. What I love is that it is powered by baking soda and citric acid, both things you can refill instead of limited blast capsules. We spent some time discussing what would happen when we mixed everything and the chemical reaction, so I felt like we got a good science lesson. The rocket itself isn’t super durable, but lasted the first day and they boys can’t wait to do it again. Probably a one season toy, but enough to do something different and get them running around outside!

Ready for Liftoff...Almost
This is a fun and thoughtfully designed toy that teaches your kiddos a bit about science and chemical reactions while having fun. The rocket itself is nicely designed with a soft foam tip that helps with the rocket comes back down (or is accidentally fired in a non-straight up orientation). The science that launches the rocket (a strong base/acid reaction) is easy to understand and straight-forward to set up. Replacement "rocket fuel" is fairly easily obtained - baking soda can be purchased anywhere but the citric acid might have to be a mail order (though still easy). The age rating of 13+ is probably a little on the high side, though certainly you'd want an older kid if they're going to do this unsupervised. I think a younger (maybe even single digit ages) child could easily understand what's going on but would need supervision to make sure everything goes according to plan. Not sure how much punishment this thing will ultimately take in terms of longevity (it's only plastic after all) but it seems like it will hold up until the kids get bored with it which is just fine. All in all, this is a fun toy/learning tool for a good price that should provide hours of (supervised) fun.
