Does the job, very easy to use
Not much to say, it does the job, just plug it in and try out procedures that trigger all the different lights (idle the car, step on breaks, tuen on blinkers, reverse, etc.)Of course you need someone to help you out as you cannot be in two places at the same time. Or I guess you can record it int he worst case.

Great value, saves a lot of time.
This tool is a must have for truck owners. It is labeled so you know what is burn out and where to start looking. I use to use the volt meter (Multimeter) to figure this out but this is much faster and easier. I keep this with me in the glovebox incase I have to tow.

seems to work, but it's still two people to test
A bit hard to read, and it doesn't have any memory or send to your cell phone or anything like that, so testing is still a two-person job (one to operate the truck controls, another to watch the lights) ... but, it's inexpensive enough to keep one in every trailer. (It's good to test your own truck, or to verify a friend's truck before they hook up to your horse trailer!)

Works good.
This review may be premature. My problem is when I hook my trailer wiring to my truck, it blows the fuse for the tail lights on the trailer. Nothing else.So first thing to do is determine if problem is in truck, or trailer. I visually checked the wiring on my trailer. Looks good. Then I purchased the 7-way RV Blade Connector Tester. According to it, my wiring on my truck FOR my trailer is all good. I"m assuming that if I have a grounded wire it would indicate I have a problem, & not show everything is good. Because of winter weather (and the fact I would have to lay on the ground outside & crawl under my trailer) I have not physically pulled the wiring out of the wire loom or take the plug apart to check it. I'm expecting to find a grounded wiring either in the plug or a wire grounded somewhere. IF I don't then I guess I'm up a creek without a paddle.I have to give this a good rating. It does what It is suppose to do, I guess. You can do the same thing with a multi-meter as well. It is easier with the tester though.

Works on 2015 Audi Q5
I used this to resolve a problem with brake lights on a 2015 Audi Q5. Running lights and turn signals worked on the trailer but not brake lights. This tester was very handy to prove to Audi service techs that the issue was with the car (they wanted to blame the trailer). Turns out the computer in the car needed a software update. After the update the tester showed correct light behavior and service techs agreed, the software update resolved the issue. Now trailer brake lights work.TIP: When someone steps on the brake of pedal of the car, the Right and Left lights are lit at the same time on the tester. But the brake light indicator on this tester does not light up if you do not have a brake controller attached inside the car. I believe the brake light indicator on the tester is for situations when you have a brake controller attached. It would make sense that this tester can test for trailers with no brakes (by lighting up the left and right lights at the same time) which is what the trailer actually does AND ALSO when you have a trailer with brakes. In that case it should light up the brake light indicator on the tester to confirm brake action will be invoked on the trailer.

A very handy tool for diagnosing trailer issues.
I am a mechanic find myself diagnosing many trailer related issues on vehicles when in fact there really is no issue. I usually just grab a test light and touch the contacts in order to check, though many times i find myself leading a wire from the battery (power and ground) to the rear of the vehicle in order to check the lights properly. While it isn't hard, it's cumbersome and takes a while setting up. With this tool, it makes it 99% easier to grab and plug in and a quick check. Had a customer that came in saying the left side signal on the trailer was working but the right side didn't work. The customer plugged the trailer into a different vehicle and worked correctly. Connected this tool and found the brake lights and left signal worked but the right side didn't. Found a blown fuse and corrosion inside the socket. There was many of these to chose from, but this looking like the most basic and easy to read is why i picked it. There is 6 LED's (RT signal, LT signal, TM, 12V, BK, and BU). This tool doesn't allow you to load test the circuits just a visual of if there is power or not. Another thing i do wish was there was a swivel head so i can see it from the top, the LED's face the side. While it's not a big deal, i can read it either way. It's a quick simple tool to determine weather or not it's a issue with the vehicle or trailer. I like the fact it only takes a minute to check. I now no longer connect a test light to test other than testing if there is an issue. I am happy and would recommend if your a trailer owner.

Great Tester for 7way wiring
Bought this tester to be able to test and troubleshoot my RV 7way wiring to my toad. It works well and is easy to use. It makes the troubleshooting go so much faster and is a quick way to test the wiring before you hook up and drive away.. Small enough to fit into my overloaded toolbox, and is a great tool for the purpose.

Does what it's supposed to do
Works as described. Lights are not that bright so it's a bit annoying when working with it outside in a sunny day. But it works great.
