Water taste/quality control
Installed the 1st one 2 weeks ago. Seems to be working well. Saved a lot of money buying these as was paying over $7 each before. This product seems bulkier than the ones I used to buy and the quality of construction seems better. Will update if the experience changes but, so far, GREAT purchase. We are on rainwater catchment and have a bit of acid rain, esp. since our volcano became more active. The water quality change was apparent and the charcoal filters improved it drastically. We are now adding baking soda to our catchment tank to reduce the acidity and I am hopeful that the carbon filter will effectively reduce any flavor change that this causes.

A filter lasts us about 3 months
Works absolutely great. There is no taste or smell with our well water.

Don't use more than one per line.
This filter clears most of the chlorines from our heavily chlorinated city water, but not all of it. Using two or more on a line will reduce your pressure to the point of not being able to flush your toilet and wash your hands.

Don’t Last 5,000 Gallons as advertised
These filters last no more than 4 days. The 2 pack 5-micron filters I get from Wal-Mart last 10 days on average. They are only $8.99.
