We recently had a child in our preschool diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. This was an awesome book to share and help the class understand what the child had experienced and was now having to go through. It was simple, it rhymed, and had great illustrations. They loved the superhero theme.

My daughter got diagnosed 4 years ago when she 3 years old and we have been through dozens of diabetes books. This one blows the others out of the water!! I wish it could be distributed to children newly diagnosed in the hospital. It’s the BEST and exactly the right message. So empowering and none of the cringe that I find in all the others. Seriously, it is a must buy if you have a type 1 at home and bonus points if they happen to love super heroes.

I wanted to let you know we very much enjoyed your book about type 1 diabetes my son is 6 years old and struggles with the daily challenges of the disease. So we thank you!

I was looking for a good story to send with my type 1 daughter to kindergarten and this was perfect! Explained things in an easy way for school aged kids to understand

I searched high and low for a book for my best friend's son after he was diagnosed with T1D. This is the only kid friendly one I could find that was befitting. Her and her husband loved it and it explains in children's terms how he is a shower hero even with T1D. I would recommend this for sure!
