Zacurate 500G Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor with batteries and lanyard (Arctic Blue)

This is an excellent product. The designers have thought of everything to make its use convenient and easy. The oximeter has a relaviely small size. Its readings of both blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate appear to be accurate and are similar to those I have had measured using more sophisticated devices at doctors' offices. It comes in a convenient pouch. The pouch has a loop at the back through which one can slide one's belt thereby minimizing the possibility of loss. The lanyard is very helpful when one is out walking. One can simply slip one's finger into it while ithe oximeter is still secured around one's neck, Another good feature is that the oximeter shuts down almost immediately after the withdrawal of one's finger thereby conserving battery power. I highly recommend this oximeter for basic use.

Works just fine does the job snd did not cost as much as other fancey oximeters just what I need for the home healthcare nurse.

I rarely do product reviews but I am so impressed with this oximeter that I want to make time for this review. I bought it because I was hit with a serious lung inflammation and thickening of the pleura (two separate issues) that ultimately landed me in the hospital. Before that, as my ability to breath decreased daily, I bought this oximeter to monitor my progress. The day after receiving it I took it to my pulmonologist visit and compared my instrument with the pro equipment in the doctor's office. Readings were IDENTICAL, oxygen and pulse. While I was in the hospital I compared it to the one used by the nurses. Readings were IDENTICAL. During a follow up visit with my doctor I compared it again. Readings were IDENTICAL. All the other great features of this oximeter, low price, ease of use, nice case, etc. are just icing on the cake. I am very pleased with this item - best $25 I ever spent.

I bought this unit because of the blue white display. I took a chance on the purchase because I could tell that the display shown was a stick-on dummy and I couldn't be sure that the real display would be same color. None of the Amazon ads stated the display color in words. Yes it came with a dummy sticker over the display with simulated numbers! Other available units on Amazon were red LED and more difficult for red colorblind man to read. Out of the box it DID NOT WORK. One of the supplied AAA cells was dead and measured less than 0.25 volts. Since I've always had good luck with included batteries, I didn't check them until it was last resort.I'd much rather write off the cheap battery than do a return with Amazon to make them replace it.

I purchased this oximeter when I was diagnosed with pneumonia, and I doubted the diagnosis. I also purchased a high end stethoscope, and youtubed how to use both, and concluded I only had my usual morning congestion, which I tried to tell the doctor it was. My physical appointment was his first of the day...i.e..early. BOL was 97% and lungs were smooth. By the time the x-ray results came, 4 days later, I knew I was right. Some things you can figure out yourself, but don't try to be a doctor; it can kill you! Our friend was diagnosed with double pneumonia and was dead 4 days later, while in the hospital! Also lost a high school classmate/friend diagnosed with diabetic shock, but was double pneumonia...at age 16! NOTE: when the hospital staffe use these on you, make sure you sterilize your finger after. I watched them use use the same one on multiple patients....where were those fingers before the oximeter was on them?

It works, good price, no frills, but that is exactly what I needed. If you want the fancy displays or memory, a silicone case, look for a different model. But this is the same manufacturer that every nurse I have run into uses.

This was absolutely what I needed. I was experiencing breathing issues, and in between Doctor visits, I could make sure all my numbers looked good. I know this is for 'athletes' and such, but it was a lifesaver for me. I was too easy to use and set up. The directions made sense and were in English. The price was under my budget. Perfect item. I have used it on other family members in times of crisis, and the numbers along with an assessment of my 'patient' were spot on. When and if I ever need another one, this will be the one I reorder. I will recommend it to anyone looking for a little reassurance on O2 saturation (Nurse for over 37 years).
