Very fun and easy Halloween Costume (just Velcro, rubber bands, and safety pins to make a quick and easy stick-person.) Wrapped lights around dog leash for night walks (gets dark at 4:30!). I will order these again. This set was great. It came with 7 light wires AND 7 battery packs! So many other options only provide 3 battery packs. One battery pack did break (wire broke at battery base) BUT that was purely my fault by the way I was holding it on dog walks. So nice that I can just connect lights to a different battery pack and not have to restring the lights. Battery packs also have a clip to hook on belt loop or pants. 2 AA batteries - seem to last long enough. There is a slight buzzing with some of the battery packs, but it is tolerable. We also wrapped lights around bike baskets - good for safety any time.

I used this to light up part of a prop for a fan convention I recently went to. Battery life was good and it was easy to work with. It was plenty bright at dusk or dark but obviously not during the day. Overall I was very happy with these nights and will be working them into other props.

These were very easy to use. Each color comes with its own battery pack. I was using them make signs for Halloween. They bent easily to form words for my signs. They were very bright and lasted all night with no problems. The only real issue I could see is that you can't string them end to end. That said, each strand was long enough that I didn't have to worry about that. The battery packs are pretty heavy so it might be difficult to attach a bunch of them to something like a costume. The battery packs are not waterproof so they need to be protected if being used outdoors. I had excellent weather and only used them for one night so I don't know how well they would hold up for longer periods of time or with rain. There is a slight humming noise, but it wasn't very loud and did not bother me.

These lights make a sound - like an alarm - when batteries are in correctly and lit up. Faulty wiring perhaps but they are not useable. I didn’t realize this soon enough to return as they were for an art project I was creating and just recently finished. Definitely test them immediately after purchase so you have time to return if needed.

These are great! Had one strip not work. Fun to use for night photography.

Don't confuse this with an LED strip... this is basically a poly fiber optic with a high dispersion coating in various colors. As such, it's nowhere near as bright as an LED strip but it works ok in dark places. It's easier to manage than an LED strip and if you're decent at DIY you could probably replace the "source" LED with a much brighter one to get the overall brightness higher. The electronic buzzing is rather annoying but you can soften that quite a bit with a foam pouch of some sort. Or if you don't care about the flashing patterns and only need constant on you can bypass the control board and go straight from the batteries to the source LED and no more buzzing. I wouldn't say they're worth $20 but there isn't much better out there without going straight to an actual LED strip.
