Q: My major concern is blind sides spots (close calls). Would this mirror get a clear view of cars sticking next to my rear door?

I , perhaps , think it will not ! If I understand you correctly you will not be satisfied with this mirror due to the fact that it is 'Convex' and therefore it creates the illusion of cars not actually the correct distance from you. I too am trying to find just a regular mirror , one that is neither 'Convex' or 'Concave'.

This mirror snaps over the factory installed one.

No the filter is built into the glass cuts glare very well !

Q: Would this fit my toyota rav4 that has a rear view mirror camera?

It’s pretty much universal. It fits my Nissan Sentra fine. I have a normal shaped rear view mirror.
