ESV Reformation Study Bible, Student Edition - Red, Leather-Like

Beautiful bible, the red is quite striking. I'm really enjoying reading the Bible with the study notes, it's something I've never done before but I find I'm able to understand the word in a deeper capacity. As a result, I'm able to ask more questions and have discussions about what I'm reading - this is a first for me and I wish I had found a study bible earlier. I do need reading glasses while reading this bible, the font is fairly small. I've also found that I need a reading light to read it in the evening, even with my reading glasses.

Perfect during college bible studies and just basic reformed views of the bible. Answers so many questions with so many scriptural references and backings. I was given one for free from a church for graduation but ended up buying another one for a friend in college because I love it so much and think every student should have one for personal devotions.

Great bible

I have been on the search for a good quality, nice looking, affordable Bible that will help me understand God‘s word better. I have found what I have been looking for! I love that there are notes explaining the verses on each page & every book has an informative page dedicated to help you understand what you’re about to read. It’s great.

I wanted a bible with helpful commentary based in solid theology while also not feeling too bulky. This one is compact considering its format and all the included notes. I have the "leather-like" version and it feels high quality and durable, especially at this price point. My only issue is that reading this requires my reading glasses, but at my age that's to be expected and the print size is completely reasonable for my kids and anyone else with good eyes. Recommended!

Great bible if you are a Reformed Christian. I ended up going over to a different denomination but I would recommend this Bible to anyone who is a Conservative Reformed Christian. R.C. Sproul was a great theologian and he did a wonderful job with this Bible

Very small print. This is a lovely study Bible and I was really looking forward to receiving it. I will have to gift it to someone as the print is too small for me to read and study. This is not sold as a large print Bible. I knew I was taking my chances, but I really wanted this one and hoped it would work out. Finding a large print study Bible with reformation theology has been a challenge.

I’m very fond of the ESV Bible. This is a study Bible. Small enough to carry around and easily readable. Cross References and context are provided for the reader. Thanks for a nice Bible I can take along when I can’t carry my big print one. I did also get a page magnifier. That’s a big help for an old lady’s eyes!

An excellent Bible all round with copious sound, appropriate and insightful footnotes and commentary. Certainly a quality product. Unfortunately it arrived damaged and I have had to process a return. Even so, I will be purchasing a replacement as even a brief look at the faulty item made it clear it would be beneficial to have a copy but probably in a different binding. Reverend Marsburg

Commentary addresses succinctly questions and curiosities I had about the text’s meaning, and gives such helpful context that so helps understanding, even beyond anything that I have ever even thought to ask. It truly was written with the heart of a student in mind. A generous collection of additional readings is also included for free on the Ligonier website. On a less important note, the colours are just gorgeous! The gentle pink cover and pretty teal bookmark complement each other wonderfully. Each colour, down to the shade and tone, seem to be skilfully and carefully selected; an attention to detail I appreciate so much.

This is my go to now! I got the Hardcover. Very nice study bible. I recommend it for Teens, young adults and believers who want a deeper understanding of scripture. It's a more compact size than a personal size bible. Perfect for bringing with you somewhere. The main text is single column, which is really nice to read. It's just like reading a normal book. The footnotes explain all of the key points, and how certain events relate to other events. It highlights the lessons you learn as you read through the stories, and it really brings the bible to life in a way you never thought possible. It makes the old testament text understandable, fresh and exciting to read about. I was really surprised! I actually love reading the bible now because of it. Every page is packed with new information and context that I never even considered when reading a normal bible. Plus it's written in plain English so it's very easy to read. It came with a bookmark too. See pics The print is 9 point which is a medium size font, it is nice and readable if you have good eyes. The Footnotes are smaller at about an 8 point. If you have bad eyes, consider getting a bible with larger print. The regular Reformation Study Bible has 11 point font. The ESV study bible large print version has 10.75 point font. If you’re looking for a sound study bible but don’t want the bulky full / complete version, this is totally ideal. This ‘student’ version has some good little question and answer sections as well. Definitely recommend it. (It’s not just for students.)
