Joes Diner (PS4)

I popped in the game and hit “New Game”. There was a story about two Indian chiefs who are buried where the diner is located, and they hated each other in life. Now, one of them likes peace and quiet, so your job is to work at the diner at night, clean up garbage off the tables, and make sure the diner is quiet.Garbage appears randomly at different tables every time you start a new game. You can only pick up one item at a time, and you have to throw it out in a garbage can in a room behind the cash register. It took me a few tries to even realize you could open doors, because you have to stare directly at the handle of the door and wait till it becomes highlighted before you can open it.Meanwhile, there are a whole bunch of things scattered around the restaurant that keep turning themselves on and making noise, and every time that happens, you have to rush to where it is and turn it off by pressing X button. You only have about a minute before the noise wakes up the chief, and it’s game over.The problem I was having was being able to identify where these noises were coming from, so I kept running around the restaurant not being able to figure out what to turn off, and then dying over and over. Also, sometimes like with the TV, which you need to use the remote on the table to turn off, it’s hard to get the character to look at the remote exactly to the point where it’s highlighted in order to actually shut it off.The worst part of the game is that every time you die, you have to go back to be start screen and hit new game, and watch the long story scene explaining about the two dead chieftains over and over, which you can’t skip. There was a “continue” button, but I did not get far enough into the game to see where there could be a save point. Even the continue menu was frustrating, in that if you go into it by accident, you can’t just press O button to exit it, you have to scroll down one by one very slowly through like 20 empty slots before getting the the cancel button.This game from my experience was awful, and I do not recommend it.

I was looking for a creepy horror type game and this didn't end up being it. Starting the game you are a bit confused of what is going on. Point is to clean up and make sure the diner stays quiet. Random things turn on and by the sound of what it is you need to find it and shut it off (like the coffee maker) to keep quiet not to disturb the ghost. Some sounds are easy to figure out others are not and you wonder around aimlessly until the ghost "gets' you which is just a picture then says game over. Graphics and controls are nice and on par but other than that I'm not impressed.

I was surprised how fast it arrived, coming from the UK. Got it a few days ago, forgot to leave feedback my bad :). It was New "Sealed" and played fine.Will buy again, thanks!

Flat-out, don't purchase this game for PS4. It's currently being sold for $8 on Steam if you're honest to god interested, but don't give Sony a cent, they're trying to screw you over.
