Great pair of secateurs, they just keep on cutting
A great pair of secateurs, that just keep cutting, without the need for sharpening the blade. They come with a locking switch at the top, and are an anvil type blade. You can tighten the hinge and change the blade if you ever find the need to.They also hang neatly on the wolf tool rack, that you can buy separately.I’ve had my pair for several years now, and I bought these for my son, who has just started gardening.I’m happy to recommend to anyone, a great gardening tool that lasts for years.

Now and inferior product
Bought these to replace a pair of Wolf secateurs which, after 9 years and several sharpening, simply gave up the ghost. I bought these because they were in the same price range of my previous pair and, bar the spring mechanism, looked very much the same. Regrettably, like many other tool manufacturers, the quality of these secateurs falls way short of the pair they are replacing. The handle construction is similar but the blade is of much poorer quality steel and this is disguised by the non-stick coating which soon wears off. The blade pivot and securing arrangement is hopelessly inadequate and does not prevent twisting of the cutting blade which, in bypass secateurs, will lead to rapid wwear. The locking mechanism is a loud click but is now all plastic and so will not last. Also, I found that for substantial i.e. woody growth such as hawthorn, hazel, the alleged 20mm cutting capacity is overstated and 15mm is more realistic. So, very disappointed and will now be shifting back to Felco.Update: The locking mechanism I referred to (all plastic) broke after just a few hours use - will not buy Wolf again.

Previous pair only lasted just over 2 years
Just checked and found our old pair were bought in May 2019 but have died because the spring has broken. Despite only lasting 2 years I am buying another pair for my wife because they are very comfortable in small hands and I can't find anything better at this price. Blades are still nice and sharp but no obvious way to replace the spring..

Not as good as I thought they would be
As I was paying a premium for WOLF, thought they would be 5 star, but when cutting roses etc., they stick and have to be pulled apart, put WD40 on them but didn't make any difference....disappointed

A very good addition to the garden tools provided they stay sharp.
Comfortable to use when flexibility of hand is not what it was.I have tried to submit this review 5 times but have been repeatably told something is wrong but not what it is.
