This book is full of fun and unique hair styles that are surprisingly easy to do. They work best on super-long hair (think down to your hips) that isn’t layered, but the author offers a lot of ideas for adding fun tweaks and making the styles your own. I would recommend this most to non-conformist types who like their styles a little offbeat and imperfect, which is half the fun of this book.

I ordered this book to help me style my daughter’s hair for school. I am not great at hair and this book has been easy to follow. It has nice color pictures and excellent step by step instructions. 5 minutes may be a little optimistic for those of us who don’t style quickly and I believe the timing relies on already brushed hair before you start. I have completed about 5 of the hairstyles and they have all turned out well. The only instructions that I wish were more detailed were how to do the fishtail and French braids, and for that it lost one star. I have had trouble mastering those and this book uses those heavily. Despite that, if you can do a regular braid there are still plenty of options. Only other recommendation for improvement would be a hardcover spiral edition so I can lay the book flat. I included a picture of the table of contents for those who want to know what styles are included.

I got my 10-year-old this book for Christmas because she always wants to do something fun with her hair and this sounded like a great, easy, book to help her with new ideas. Sadly, it doesn't appear that the hair styles on the cover are in the book... And I wish the hair style instructions would give you a list of what you needed to do the hairdo. Also, on a few of them, even when we followed the instructions, the hair wouldn't stay where it was supposed to. We had to improvise to make the do work or try something different. I was a bit disappointed, but she absolutely loves it.

the book is okay, may be spoild to her book on braides that she took photos of every stage herself as model. this one uses different models and the pics provided do not seem step by step. may be better or expected for someone not such a beginer as myself. so gave a 3 her braid book id give or gave 5

Lots of fun hair ideas that are easily accomplished in a short amount of time, though some practice may be required to really get the timing down. Still, it's well divided by category (braids, buns, down styles, etc) and there are lots of pics to help you get each step correct. She loves it and is finding it to be really helpful.

I love this book for my teenage daughter. Pictures are great and styles are appropriate... beautiful!! I use the braids and tips for myself as well! Easy to read and use. I saw this book in a salon and ordered it!

This was a gift for my niece. She loved the book and tried a couple of hair styles the first day.

Beautiful styles. My hair isn't long enough to try out any of them yet, but it gives me something to look forward to when the layers finally grow out. I envy women who have long enough hair to use these styles on bad hair days.

I've started to grow my hair longer and it has just reached my shoulders but most of the styles here are for very long hair. It would also have been nice to see how the styles look from the front as all of the models are only photographed from the back to show their ponytails, buns etc. I will try some of the braid styles when I have a few more inches of hair to play with.

This is a very good book, but only if you have long hair. The ‘blurb’ indicates that it is suitable for any length of hair, I do not think this is correct. Would be good for long hair only. I am requesting refund.

Basic and easy hair ideas for people with basic abilities. Plenty of hair ideas for back to school now. Nice sized book not to big arrived very quickly.

Die Frisuren sehen alle super toll und professionell aus. Die Umsetzung ist etwas schwieriger und vor allem bei glattem Haar nicht immer der Vorstellung entsprechend. Einige der Frisuren sind selbst mit Erfahrung nicht in fünf Minuten umsetzbar. Trotzdem ein schönes Buch mit guten Frisuren und Anleitungen.
