I bought this last week. It arrived in perfect condition (only the box of the actual mug seemed a bit beat up). Nevertheless, I tried it tonight. It is 90% completely black when the mug is cold, if you just look at it you would not expect anything from a simple black mug. Once i poured the boiling water on the tea, the magic happened and the mug transformed! It literally took like 5 seconds for the FULL picture to come alive! And it is completely EVEN, top to bottom, from left to right, no black spots. Also, it is very colorful and cute!!! :-) I think i drank the tea in about 20 minutes and by that time of course the picture faded back to black (starting from the top of the mug), as you are drinking the tea. I absolutely love it and glad i got it. I might look into other scenes by Disney, same concept! Now how many times will it do the magic, not sure, hopefully it lasts a long time...

I gave this to a friend for an XMAS gift and he loved it. I will say the only thing I don't like is the area around the handle stays black when heated as it does not have a design but this was pretty great to give as a gift!

Waited ages for the product to arrive and loved it when it did. However, after only a few uses and hand wash only (never dishwasher, never soaked) the black paint/skin has started to peel off at the bottom already. Not great quality and really disappointing as loved the mug

This mug is amazing! God quality mug, and Works brilliantly, and I love that the picture isn’t too bright, it’s just the right depth of colour. The detail of the picture is immense. So beautiful. I think I may order another because I think if anything ever happens to this mug (accidentally breaking it) I’ll be so upset. Just to mention yes- the colour doesn’t wrap around on the handle, but that doesn’t bother me at all!

From the sales picture you would think the design is both inside and all around the outside of the mug - it isn't if you look at my photos. Its not inside at all, and stops short of the handle which spoils the effect a little. We also found you need a REALLY hot drink to make the design show through vividly which meant it started to fade quite quickly. Having said all that my wife loves it and uses it all the time!
