Works really well to get rid of a full scale fruit fly invasion!
Works really well to get rid of a full scale fruit fly invasion!I really hate fruit flies, and they can be very hard to get rid of if you get a big invasion. I had a mishap where a banana fell behind something and I didn't realize it until a fruit fly population exploded out of that overripe banana. I had one of those glue board traps where a UV light and a fan suck the flies in, but that only captured so many per day, not enough to quell the invasion. I was overrun with them because they weren't all getting captured and were multiplying like mad.So I tried this chemical trap, and it immediately attracted them and started getting rid of hordes of them every day. My only suggestion is that the liquid used has a weird vinegary and sweetish smell like rotting fruit, but I guess that's the whole point to attract them since they're fruit eaters. I put it in a corner away from where I am so I don't smell it, but the flies go straight for it.I've given up bananas until I'm sure these nasty little critters are long gone. They hijack in on bananas, so from now on if I see even one fly, this trap is coming out again!

These work for catching nasty fruit flies!
I left an eaten plum in my bedroom trash can for 2 days and it created a fruit fly infestation! Hundreds and hundreds of fruit flys!! After I took out the trash they all migrated to the kitchen, so I bought these in bulk and set out 8 of them all around the kitchen and they definitely work!! After just 1 day they got rid of SO MANY of them, they’re not all gone yet but they definitely caught nearly all of them. These work amazing, I’ve been using them for months now and they definitely attract fruit flies, only thing is the liquid doesn’t last a full 90 days like it says, more so like a month and then all the liquid is evaporated, but still for the price and how it works, it’s worth it anyways.

Mostly effective, and for German roach nymphs
These have been somewhat effective. While I have seen less of these pests when I've got this active, I've also seen them literally just hangout on top of the apple. It's like it can see its dead incestuous disgusting family in the goo and it actually takes it as a warning to not proceed. Perhaps I should stop reusing the same trap...Once this stuff runs out, the pests start right back up again. Not as dense as before, but it is noticeable. I'd rather have this than nothing, that's for sure.I wish this came with way more of the liquid. I feel like I have too many apples and not enough liquid. This seller doesn't appear to sell the liquid in bulk, you just have to buy more traps, which is annoying.I also prefer filling it way more than it suggests because if I fill it less, then I have to replace it more frequently. Ergo, providing more of the liquid would be far more useful. This does emit a faint smell, but I've found that it only smells when I'm directly above it.Make sure to tell your guests or family that this thing can spill if you pick it up wrong.I'd ideally rate this maybe 3.5 stars. It works well enough to keep the pests down, but it's not a permanent solution and they don't always fall for the trap.Update: I've changed my mind. Solid 4 stars. I noticed German roach nymphs wading dead in the liquid. I've been keeping these near my sink because that's where the fruit flies hang out. It appears as though the roaches, while trying to get a drink in the sink, find the fruit fly trap and want in. I have a small infestation of roaches in my place, so if they don't fall for one trap, I'm glad they'll fall for another. I don't like having roach traps on my counter due to the chemicals used, so this much-less-poisonous-to-humans trap is a great alternative.

Very effective on phorid / scuttle flies!
Purchased to trap phorid/scuttle flies, and worked great. We captured dozens of flies. The traps have windows on the sides, which is great because being able to see the dead flies inside lets you know if they are working. Honestly, when you are going crazy from flies, it’s really satisfying to see them floating in there. It also helps keep an eye on bait level. The holes on the trap are a great size… not so big that small flies can escape, and the bait was very enticing to the type of flies we had. We also used these in conjunction with sticky traps, because the bait worked so well that the flies got stuck when we placed the sticky traps near these. One note, the traps are very lightweight and easy to tip over. You definitely want to place them where they will not be bumped. You will be able to detect a faint vinegar smell when near the traps; but it’s not overwhelming.

Worked Great!
I usually just make my own fruit fly traps with apple cider vinegar and dish soap. But for some reason they just couldn't keep up this year, even though I had them all around the house for several weeks. There were flies in the vinegar every day, but somehow still more in the house the next. I finally purchased these traps, despite their mixed reviews, out of pure desperation. Within 10 minutes of setting them out, they each had more flies in them than the vinegar caught in a day, and by the next day the flies were all gone! I will definitely continue to use these traps since they are so much easier, they work better/faster, and you can't smell them from across the room like you can vinegar.

Fruit flies
I will use the containers to make my own. I had made a concoction of apple cider vinegar with a drop or two of dish soap and it work really great. Now I’m using these for a week and none have gone into it. I see see one or two fruit flies around when we eat. So their serum isn’t good but the little plastic apples will be great for my own concoction.
