Works as describeed
I have no way to test if it actually filters phenobarbital and pfas, all the stuff claimed. However, the water dispensed actually does taste better than the unfiltered water from refrigerator or tap. Ice looks better as well. IMO anyway.

I'm not an expert...but I would go with the manufacturer's brand next time (LG)
I'm not sure but I feel like the water taste bitter at the end. I had to throw away a lot of water before the water looked right again.

Quality Filter for Safe Water
This filter is independently certified to meet ANSI 53 which was an important must-have criteria with all the contaminants and chemicals in tap drinking water nowadays. ANSI 53 filters out most microorganisms and contaminants and you would pretty much have to switch to a reverse osmosis system to get better. And with all the news about micro-plastics from bottled water, that is not a safe option anymore. The water flow is not compromised with this high level of filtration. The shipment was fast, it was securely packaged, and the price was very reasonable, especially compared to purchasing the OEM filters from stores such as Lowes or HD. It was easy to install, fits perfect in our LG fridge without leaking, and quickly flushed and was ready for use. Very happy with this purchase.

Performance same as branded
After using for six months I found my water's taste and clarity to be the same with the Icepure as when using the manufacturer's brand. Installation is about the same - it's always a little difficult in my refrigerator. The price can't be beat.

Good tasting water and has a 200 gallon life. I change every 6 months.
