A nice sturdy set of bookends, sufficiently heavy to support a long row of books, including hardbacks. They are only about 6 inches tall, however, so although they are heavy, I would not use them to prop up books that are 12 inch or bigger.

My husband loves these. They were a gift to cheer him up in his study.
