Designed, engineered, & tested in the US. Manufactured in PRC which I presume to mean the Peoples Republic of China. Works as designed. More threaded metal (not pressed, crimped, or glued together) than any other gauge I've had in many years. Hope this helps.

Is each unit individually tested for accuracy?

I am not sure. I bought two and they were within two tenths of each other.

I just received this pressure gauge and was wondering the purpose of the 'hold' indicator on the display (lower right)? always shows when powered on.

The "hold" feature means that once you take your tire pressure reading, it will hold that reading when you remove it from your valve stem.

Can the brass chuck be removed and hard hosed into a system to constantly be reading pressure?

I don't know as I returned mine, it consistently read too low on pressure. Also was hard to get a good connection with the valve, air leaked out changing the tire pressure. I think it only reads once and then has to be reset to read again, won't read "dynamic" pressure.
