Naturtint Hair Dye
6GA-This is the best hair dye hands down. It’s has no smell, my hair feels so soft and manageable and the color is perfect not a harsh brown or too red. It’s worth the money, scalp doesn't itch, it looks natural. I have already bought multiple boxes in case they go on back order, I will not use any other brand, and I have tried many. I have asthma and this doesnt bother me at all I really can’t detect any scent.

Excellent natural permanent hair color
Excellent permanent hair color. I've used Excellence by Loreal for many years and wanted to try something different. There is no odor and it's easy to apply. The color is perfect . Covered all the gray and the brassiness is gone. Very natural looking. The finishing conditioner included is very high quality. My hair is soft and shiny but not weighted down.

Great dye. Terrible gloves
I started to use this product when pregnant due to not having so many harsh chemicals. I use it to cover my grey and it lasts amazing it doesn’t wash out and only have to reapply due to growth. Great value for buying in bulk. I love the Color as it is quite natural. It doesn’t have such a strong smell as some as the other and I don’t get burning or anything to my head when I use. One bad bite is the gloves they come with are terrible and always end up with holes. Buy yourself a box of disposable gloves unless you don’t mind dying your fingers for a few days .

Definitely Recommend
Been using this for at least a year since Whole Foods discontinued my other product. That was a blessing in disguise because Naturtint is easier to use and I like it better. My hair is about 20% gray, concentrated on top and sides where observers can see it most! This does a great job of coloring and staying on the longer portion of my hair, however I find that the roots fade pretty fast - in about 2 weeks. I have to color by 3 weeks or it gets really obvious. I color only the roots, never drag it through my ends b/c it doesn't fade there. My biggest frustration is getting it shampooed out of my hair. Recommendation on that below.Pros:Easy to use - you don't have to wash first like some natural brands require, and doesn't take hours to color, like hennaDoesn't have that awful, burning ammonia smell that, with reg. brands, kept me from coloring without an exhaust fan and only when my kids weren't home!Gentle on the scalp - no burnTotally lasts on my ends - the shaft of my hair never fades and stays a nice chestnut color, even on the grayCons:Roots tend to fade faster than standard brands (but I'll take it as a trade for carcinogenic chemicals)Still has some chemicals--let's be real--but less toxicWashing: this stuff is REALLY hard to wash out of your hair. I can wash 5 times in the removal step, and usually can still feel a grimy coating on my hair until I shower again and wash it several more times. FIX: through trial and error I found that if I rinse with very warm (like, hot) water before and after shampoo, it will rinse out in one shower (maybe two washes). It's not good for your hair though to wash in hot water, so I don't love this, but I make sure to do a final slow rinse in very cool water to lay down the cuticle before I'm done. Works for me.TIP: because I color only roots, it's a waste to wash half the bottle down the drain. I wash out the previous use's squeeze bottle and keep it - then mix only half of the new mixture into it. So each bottle colors twice, which is not only better because I'm not shooting chemicals down the drain, it's more economical. The two bottles of color and developer each have approx. 5T of liquid in them, so I measure 2 1/2T of each into the empty bottle and shake. It's the perfect amount to saturate my roots on top and sides, with some bonus coverage in back but I wouldn't be able to saturate all areas if I had full gray in back. You cannot mix the whole thing and save it though b/c once it's mixed, you have to use or discard.

Hair color that leaves hair looking healthy
Great hair color! We have used three different colors in our home. Love that it is non-drying. Our hair always looks shiny after coloring and using the quinoa mask that comes in the box. This color is perfect for my dark brown hair. Wanting to just cover some grey roots. The price is great too! Saves some much from having to go to the salon.

Itch-free Alternative to the Market Leaders
I have been using Naturtint for 20-25 years, since I first found it at Whole Foods around 2000-2004? The leading commercial hair dye, as well as the ones used by professional hairstylists, were making my scalp itch a lot, so I knew there was a problem with them, likely an allergy that was getting worse. I switched to this product and have never looked back. I generally color my own hair to save money and time, but when I go to a hair salon, I take it with me and the stylists are happy to use it. I get compliments on the color (I actually mix 6N with 7N to match my natural color) including from hairstylists. The color lasts, my scalp doesn’t itch, the spillover dye washes off my face easily, the price is very competitive, its availability has been steady for 20 years, and the product is easy to use. As a bonus, it comes with a conditioner that I have found comparable to an Argan conditioner. Since I use two boxes a month, I never run out of free conditioner. Bottom line: this is the best hair color I have found for my needs so far. There are safety concerns with all hair dyes, though, so there is room for innovation in this product group.
