Good design
I bought two fine nib pens. Good looking and beautiful writing. Pilot nibs are always great. At this price the pen design is excellent. But it’s not with converter. This is negative point.

Excellent pen, excellent price
Spectacular pen for the price. I've seen sites charging upwards of $80 for imported Lucinas, and while I certainly wouldn't be disappointed by its performance for that price range, it'd be a tough sell for someone who's not already a fountain pen enthusiast. For $40-$50 it's a must-have. The body is light but solid, and it feels good in the hand with or without the cap posted. Size-wise, it's somewhere between a Pilot Prera and a Lamy Safari- as someone with small hands but still finds a Prera a bit too small, this is ideal. I also like that it has a threaded cap instead of a snap-on. It's a personal preference thing, but to me it just feels more high quality. The nib is where this pen really shines, though. As Sam's review states, if you're not familiar with Pilot's nib sizes, be sure to familiarize yourself with what you're getting. This F writes like an EF, maybe even finer than some EFs- but without any of scratchiness or finicky sweet spot-finding that I've struggled with from some other manufacturers. So far I've tested it on Clairefontaine and Tomoe River paper, and it writes like a dream every time. I've specifically tested it with an ink that's given me trouble with regard to smudging and long drying times in the past, Diamine's Sargasso Sea, and its flow is so controlled that I've had zero issues whatsoever.I've seen people argue that the Lucina is hard to justify when the Pilot Metropolitan line writes so well in the $20 range, but I can't agree. In terms of build quality there's a world of difference and while I think the Metropolitan is a wonderful pen for beginners or for something to knock around (hell, I own two), it just doesn't compare to the Lucina. As I said, I think this pen is worth the $80 you see it marked up to from time to time, but in the $40 range it's a complete steal. That puts it on equal footing with the Prera price-wise, which it absolutely destroys in both build quality and performance. If you can hang with its extremely fine lines, I can recommend it without reservation. It's worth noting that you CAN get a medium or broad nib, but only on the black model.

Great combo of flexible nib quality and individual style - at a price that's hard to quibble with.
Love this pen, especially for this price point. It's lightweight plastic, not a metal body, but feels well constructed and jauntily elegant (in the azure/black combo I bought). In particular the black ends feel like lacquer and the gold tone brightwork doesn't feel tacked-on or flexible. Feels a little shorter/slimmer than standard - but not specifically "ladies size" by any means - perhaps its the lack of heft in the pen that adds to this impression. In contrast - the squared ends, the bold colors, the contrasting trim, give this a sporty, dare-I-say masculine look when on the desk.Writes like a dream, even for a lefty (I'm using a fine nib with standard Pilot cartridges) - and as I store my fountain pens flat in a drawer - writes at first scratch even after a week or so of inaction. For bottled ink fans (I love the J. Herbin range) you'll need to order a converter separately - but at 5-10 bucks not exactly a capital investment. Fortunately no blobs or leaks so far. So far writes better than my cheap Staples-level Parkers/Shaeffers/Watermans - and is actually more consistent than my pricier (and more hefty) Faber Castells.
