Just did 23 dives in Bonaire, using this on every dive. It worked perfectly, let me get into the water with it compacted and then stretch it out underwater for better access. No issues at all and it let me get that extra close perspective that isn’t possible with shorter go pro sticks. Only issue was the screw which broke immediately, but we all have half a dozen go pro screws laying around, so I changed it and it worked so well. 100% satisfied.

This has started to rust a little on the screw that holds the camera onto the base but it is minimal - this works great. The whole thing floats if you aren't use the wrist strap and it gets away from you which is nice considering some depths that we are in and love the extension handle to keep it close or to extend it and gets pix/vid while we are snorkeling!

Great gadget for a GoPro type camera. Floats! 12 year old loved using it in Maui. Caught turtles next to him because he had the camera on the stick while snorkeling, so he’s in the video. Camera floated with the stick!

This item is seriously Flawed and cheaply made. The plastic parts that connect the pole to the GoPro are weak and subject to breakage. I bought this for a diving trip to the Galapagos and I made it one dive with one tank until the white connector as shown in my photos broke off. This piece is critical to operating the entire device and if it breaks as mine it renders the entire device in operable. I would seriously recommend to anyone look for another brand or stick to an original go pro stick.

UPDATE: I just wanted to change my review because the company actually reached out to me about not receiving the product. They were able to send me a new one which I was really appreciative of their concern. We took it to a pool party and it worked great. I was surprised that even with it extended it floated. I think my 2 issues I really had was when collapsed it floated but it wasn't that high above the water and visibility was tough with a white handle. Luckily we were in a pool but if I were to loose it in any type of wave I don't think I'd be able to retrieve it. My other issue was when the pole is extended it takes on a lot of water but it actually floats higher than when colapsed. We will definitely use it but like I mentioned before I just wish the handle had a little more buoyancy and was a brighter color for visibility. Kudos to the customer service!I really wish I could review this item. We ordered this for our trip and unfortunately the package never made it to our house. It looks like a great product and I've read other reviews rating this high but we weren't as lucky.

Update during trip to Hawaii:Absolutely incredible. Worth every penny. So well-built. Has been my right hand as I and my wife explored waterfalls, beautiful pools, and hours of salt water snorkeling. It does. Easily.The material quality is really good. Handle grip is comfy. I love manufacturers that are trying to build the best design, rather than the cheapest crap. Update: 29 Oct 18 - MicroJib reached out to me and provided excellent customer service by providing a replacement unit and a full refund of my original purchase. This doesn’t change the fact that the original product proved useless during a well planned diving trip, but I’m giving MicroJib 3 stars for making this right for me. I appreciate a small company who stands behind their product. Thanks MicroJib.Zero Stars - A considerable amount of review reading was undertaken to select a water grip for my action cam. The reviews for the MicroJib were impressive and I felt confident making this purchase for a diving trip to Cozumel. So you can imagine my horror when on the first day of my trip, on my first dive I positioned the MicroJib to get some selfie footage only to see that my cam was gone and with it the top extension rod & mounting bracket of the MicroJib. I was thankfully able to backtrack and find my cam in 20 feet of water but the Microjib was unusable for the rest of my 7 day trip. The smallest rod was just completely loose and would not snap back into its track regardless of my efforts to troubleshoot. To add insult to injury, I returned from my trip exactly 1 day after the Amazon Return window closed. I contacted Amazon CS via chat to request a return exemption only to be frustrated with stupid questions about my troubleshooting efforts with a product that was clearly defective in either its design or manufacture and to be suddenly disconnected just as it seemed the Rep was about to offer a solution. At this point I just want to return the MicroJib as I couldn’t trust a replacement for another ruined dive trip.

I bought this stick after quite an extensive review of similar products. Are use my go Pro almost exclusively around water and wanted something that was functional and that would prevent me from loosing my camera to the ocean/lake floor.On my most recent lake trip the top component of the stick along with my GoPro came completely detached. Luckily, I was safe on the boat and not on the water. I could not reattach the stick in any reliable way to the rest of the handle.
