Almost perfect. For the price it’s 5 star
These work as they are advertised. Pretty good software and connectivity via relay station. Price is right: unit is small and works very well. Set up is easy.App and its alert features may be improved (iPhone: it often alerts when I open the app not when something goes awry)

must have for freezer
The Overview:The Govee Hygrometer Thermometer 3Pack H5100 has transformed how I manage temperature and humidity across various parts of my home, including critical areas like the refrigerator and freezers. Originally purchased to ensure the freezer maintained the correct temperature for storing my baby's milk, I've found these sensors to be incredibly reliable and versatile. The Good:Reliability: These sensors have proven to be spot-on with their readings, providing peace of mind, especially for sensitive goods like baby milk.Emergency Detection: One incident where these sensors shone was when a breaker accidentally switched off, affecting my spare freezer. The temperature drift alert saved me from losing valuable food, including my baby's milk.Summer Savior: With Texas summers being notoriously hot, placing sensors around the house allowed us to monitor temperature changes effectively. When we noticed the room temperatures rising, we were able to diagnose and fix an AC leak promptly, preventing further issues.Ease of Use: Easy to set up, the app is user-friendly; adding sensors and connecting to Wi-Fi was seamless. I started with Bluetooth operation for convenience and later added Wi-Fi for setting up temperature alerts, which was an excellent feature for proactive monitoring. Awesome feature that you can download data. You can see the temperature graph and overlay them in the app for comparing. Set up alarms and tons of other features. I like that there are other sensors that can be added and monitired from one app, definitely something I will explore.Versatility: From room to room, fridge, and freezer, these sensors have found a place everywhere, making them indispensable for home management. The Not-So-Good:Really, There's Little to Critique: would be nice if it could locate the sensor, otherwise you have to remember where you placed it in the room:-)Overall:The Govee Hygrometer Thermometer 3Pack H5100 has become a must-have in my household. It's not just about comfort; it's about safety, efficiency, and avoiding potential disasters. Whether it's safeguarding baby food or ensuring your home stays at a comfortable temperature, these sensors deliver on all fronts.Pros:Highly reliable temperature and humidity readingsCritical for emergency detection in appliancesEasy setup with the Govee app, Wi-Fi compatibility for remote monitoringVersatile enough to use throughout the homeCons:If you forgot where you placed these it might be difficult to find afterwards. Conclusion:I recommend the Govee Hygrometer Thermometer to everyone looking to keep their living spaces in check. It's an investment in comfort, safety, and peace of mind. These sensors have not only saved me from potential food spoilage but also from having to endure a sweltering summer without AC.

Simple and easy to use
Worked as expected. These are perfect for giving the readings and being able to keep the device hidden. The associated app is easy to use and easy to get them set up.

Easy to use and very helpful
I use these in the fridge, ice chest and bilge on my sailboat so I can monitor the temperature of these storage areas. They work great. The only downside is some have stopped working after a while. I take the batteries out when not in use. So maybe there was moisture? My advice is to take the batteries out when not in use and keep them dry.

Great way to monitor and track guitar case humidity.
I have been using these for years. They work great and are eay to calibrate. Battery life is good, typically I get 3-4 months out of a battery, which gets me through the low humidity winter months.

Love these. Have a lot of them.
I love the quality of these and their discrete appearance and size. They fit easily into many spaces. I use them to track temp, humidity, and VPD in my plant case, as well as in my chameleon enclosures. They have a good life span. These are replacing ones I had for 3+ years and had gotten rusty battery contacts and stopped working. Keep in mind, I do directly mist these on occasions (though I try to avoid them). If you aren't doing that, they should last longer. If you are concerned about real water resistance, Govee has two newer hygrometer-thermometers that fit that bill. If you're monitoring a shed, humidor, basement areas, etc., this type is fine. There is no display, obviously, but the app will show you what you need. Again, there's other types if you want a display. I find them very accurate and you can calibrate them, if needed, in the app.

Great
We use these everywhere: freezers, fridges, various rooms in the house, chicken coop, etc. It is so nice to monitor the temps everywhere when we are away and peace of mind to receive alerts if the temps are too high or low.

Definintely not a scientific device. Utterly unreliable
Bought the Govee 5100's with the gateway (x2) in addition to extra 5100's to monitor snake enclosures. Obviously a bit of an esoteric use but regardless, well within the indications of these sensors and functionality.Set-up is incredibly easy. The Govee app feels like you are about to play a video game rather than set up a system of sensors and other connected devices. Not quite the streamlined professional appearance but it's fine for what it is. The sensors connect to the app seamlessly (initially) and then connect to the gateway and wifi easily. No complaints at all.Unfortunately, I don't believe anyone buys these devices so that they can connect them to an app and then walk away. These are monitoring devices for a specific use. While these devices are not lab certified equipment (I trained in biochemistry and molecular biology), they are advertised to measure within reasonable accuracy. And here is ONE aspect where this product utterly fails. When I set these up, I noticed that I was getting readings that varied by 1-2 degrees F between sensors that were nearly side by side. I then bought a thermometer with an NIST certificate to measure against these devices. This more or less confirmed that they are accurate within typically +/- 1 degree F. For what I need it for, I decided that this was acceptable so I continued using the sensors.BUT......after about 2-3 months of using these sensors and gateways I started to notice that monitoring the snake enclosures remotely was becoming less reliable despite no changes in my home wifi network. Since I travel a lot for work, remote monitoring is considered essential for me and a large reason I bought this set-up. More and more frequently, when I tried to update the sensors remotely the wifi would not update through the gateway.THEN, I started to notice some of the sensors would not update despite the wifi gateway updating the other sensors (I'm using around 12-14 sensors). The battery would indicate full yet the sensors were not updating. Changing the battery would only fix the problem about half of the time. Deleting the device from the app and reinstalling it would fix it about half of the time. The problem though is that some of these sensors would just completely stop being found by bluetooth when you try to reinstall them.Govee support has been responsive and has agreed to replace the sensors (I have still to actually receive replacements) but honestly I have no trust or confidence in these sensors and am going to probably eat the money and find something else that is reliable. I don't need laboratory accuracy but I do need to trust that when I am away the sensors I am using are actually working, are going to work and are going to last longer than a couple months.Overall, definitely would NOT recommend this unless Govee makes some real changes.
