LÄRABAR Banana Chocolate Chip, Gluten Free Vegan Fruit & Nut Bars, 6 ct

(I also posted this for the lemon and key lime bars)Larabars are one of the best food solutions I've discovered out there.First, they're natural and the ingredient list is a single line on the package. Not only that, I can pronounce all the words without a dictionary and I don't need a Physician's Desk Reference or a Chemistry 201 textbook to understand what the ingredients are. The applie pie bar (eating one as I type this) consists of: Dates, Almonds, Unsweetened Apples, Walnuts, Raisins, and Cinnamon. That's it. Larabars are primarily dates, with nuts, fruit, and natural flavors added. The ingredients are labeled non-GMO Verified, which is something I like. Frankenfoods may be safe or they may be harmful, I don't know for sure, but I think everyone should have the option to decide for themselves what they're going to eat.Second, they're very filling. Dates are protein-packed, fiber-filled, and very dense. It doesn't take a lot of dates to satiate your hunger.Third, they taste great! The nuts, fruit, and natural flavors added to the bar combine to create unique, tasty flavors. The flavor is not the repulsive chemistry set flavor you get with other products; there's real lemon and real lemon juice in the lemon bars, real apples and cinnamon in the apple pie bars, and real key lime in the key lime bars.Fourth, I like the consistency of Larabars. The fruit and nuts combine to add some crunch to the bar, breaking up the otherwise dense date and fruit material. It feels good to chew it.Fifth, I like these bars because they are small, convenient, and they quickly satiate my hunger when I'm out doing other things. My child loves them and they are a guaranteed hit anytime we're out and they get hungry. Larabars have saved us a couple times at the playground or the park. I take them everywhere with me. They're in my car, in my suitcase and carry-on bag, in my work bag, and in my emergency bag and camping gear. I keep an emergency bag in my car, just in case I break down on the road, and I keep several Larabars in it, too. In fact, I think Larabars are one of the best emergency food solutions out there. They're shelf stable, packed with nutrition, small and easy to transport, and they taste good, so you won't dread having to eat them.I have to add-I love mint. These bars are one of my favorites. These, the lemon, and the key lime are my favorites.Finally, I've tried other bars out there, like Cliff Bars, and I think these are superior. Most competing food/energy bars are composed primarily of sugar, honey, sweetener, fat, and fillers. I think these bars have the healthiest ingredient list and the best flavors and flavor options out there. Compare the ingredients next time you go to the store and you'll see what I mean.

When it comes to food, I usually read the reviews to see about quantity, quality, packaging, but when I read about how ppl feel about the taste, I discard it as i have to see for myself. I have learned to realize my taste in things are quite particular. My take on the chocolate coconut larabars was, that they filled me up and they were good. This was surprising because im not vegan, and not a super healthy eater, but i do have a dairy allergy. So it is quite hard to find good chocolate bars with no dairy. It was also surprising that it didnt taste weird, because of all the vegan food ive tried, it has tasted weird to me. And the last surprising thing to me, was that it filled me up. Normally i loveeee to snack left and right. I gave up coffee and since that was my breakfast, i needed a replacement, well these are it! Seriously... it has been a perfect fit for me. It is not sweet, not overpowering, love the nuts, and love that is semi-chewy. I also bought the banana bread, and it is spectacular.So, if your undecided about this and dont want to spend 26 bucks on this, do what i did... go to the supermarket and spend 2-3 bucks per bar (much more expensive if you dont buy in bulk), and grab a couple as tests. And when you find what you want... come to Amazon, and buy it. That way, your not like the lady who spends 26 bucks to try one out, and has the luxury to throw them all out. If all else fails, gift them.

The Ingres are healthy and the bars taste great.If I don’t make time for breakfast i can take one of these with me while I’m on the go and I don’t feel bad about eating these bar’s because they are healthy.

It's a nice strong lemon flavor, the kind that you'd expect for a lemon flavor dessert for example.My only complaint is that it arrived flattened, though since I ordered it individually, not having its own box meant that could happen.I also wish this had pieces of lemon zest, seems like there's only nuts, but I love the texture of lemon zest.

Okay, so it doesn't taste exactly like pumpkin pie, but if you like nuts and the spices in pumpkin pie, you will love this one. It is my new favorite. Larabars are pricey, so I don't normally purchase them, but this is a limited edition, so I will fork out the money.

It's okay, nothing spectacular about it taste wise, but the health benefits are reasons to buy it. A thing to consider though: the bars themselves are small but the calories are not. It's 200 for one.

Love the larger sized box as the season pumpkin ones are popular in my house & can be hard to find in the store. Great for hiking, traveling & at home w/mug of fav hot beverage. Whole food ingredients. Just needs biodegradable wrapper. Otherwise Highly recommend.

Came damaged in a damaged taped up box - clearly been opened and used will not buy again!

Very hard to find this flavour in the stores I go to, so this was perfect !

These bars are not good!! Something that old people who have lost the will to live would eat.
