Comfortable
They fit true to size, and seem durable. I haven't had a chance to put them through the ringer yet but have done lots of standing for hours in them and some walking. I have flat feet and they didn't hurt *too* bad after. Tread and grip seem to be pretty decent on uneven and loose terrain. The ankle support style they have going is odd, they grip your ankles pretty firmly. I'm assuming over time it kind of stretches or loosens, but for now it is a bit uncomfortable.Breathability seems ok. I'm in Arizona but got these just as the triple digit weather ended, but I haven't felt like my feet were swimming. However the goretex is obvious as my feet were noticeably warm.Tldr, grippy, kinda warm, ankle support is incredibly smug, objectively breathable, also kind of funny color combo

Awesome hiking shoes.
Great fit. Very comfortable hardly any break in time excellent traction. I'm an exact 10.5 and there a perfect fit to size. Haven't found a down side put just over 10 miles on them with no blisters or issues.

Very durable,comfortable, and well made
I've had these for over a month now. These are worn daily at work as an arborist. They still look new. I can't attest to tge waterproof aspect yet,but gore tex should be good. I'll probably get another pair to replace these as I like them alot. Great traction on hilly terrain. They also are sort of hard on the sides which helps protect from jagged rocks on branches while walking. They're also very light,so they don't weigh you down. I definitely recommend these.

Absolutely Essential! 10 stars
I do some really rugged trekking and work in hilly bushy land. Sometimes wet, muddy and slippery ON CLAY! Yuck clay. Yuck 15lbs of mud on each boot. Slow, In the rain. Dark. Holding stuff, going nowhere fast. Yuck clay.Anyway, Quality top notch! My bush resilience is partly based on the toughness of this boot. I’m fairly remote and can’t take careless chances. Using heavy brush cutters and chainsaws on steep slopes for hours is serious work - it requires your full attention - the ankle support is absolutely essential. The trakky grip sole is essential. The added bonus of being lightweight is essential. I can’t say enough how much I value this piece of footwear. Sometimes I’m like a Sherpa, carrying anywhere between 30 and 70lbs on shoulder, up and down hills. I will never work without it - galoshes? Wellies, neoprene, rubber boots, whatever they’re called are for flat land, washing a car or something like that. These are the boots that can get you in and out of anything - with or without load. It’s a vital piece of survival/work gear. If I don’t have these to get into the action… nah, will just stay home! bought a second pair kinda for dry weather. The waterproof didn’t really hold up somehow by 3rd year of use. Dammit they’re good!

These are a big let down
I've been wearing Salomon boots for several years. But I don't like these boots for multiple reasons.First off. They leak.....which sucks when your walking in central Africa, and feet in your boots really really sucks.....There is a strange plastic cup for the heal, that goes over your ankle. When Im going down something steep, the plastic jambs into the side of my ankle, which doesn't hurt......for the first 30 times, then it starts to really hurt. The 90° lace holders, which transition between the top of your foot, and going up your ankle. Are legitimately a pain to get the kaces out of. It's ripping the laces up, and only a matter of time before they snap. You know what else is hard to get, in a really rural area of central Africa...... Yup.... Boot laces......Ha inf these boots for two months, I shouldn't have the chunks ripped out of the soles like I do.... They just aren't very durable. My other Salomon boots just keep kicking, but these...... I dunno..... Theyre just failing for me in multiple ways.I gotta say, the stitching is holding well, and there's no obvious peeling of the soles from the boot.It the fact that BOTH boots are letting water in. Is really disappointing. I was just scooping some water out of a stream as well, was only in the water for a few moments. With it being both boots. It's less of an accident in my opinion, and more of a construction failure.

Sturdy and Dependable
I have put these boots through absolute hell and they're holding up fine. They've been from the highest point in West Virginia, down to Seneca Creek and back up again. They've been up Panther Mountain in New York. They've been through a multi-mile long trudge through shin-deep central Indiana bog. They've been through a ton of bush clearing and general yard chores. And they live in a house with a cat that attempts to eat literally everythingOther than some dirt, they still look pretty new, which is kind of amazing because usually I just absolutely DESTROY footwear, for some reason. They're about as comfortable as a boot gets for me, which isn't to say they're something I ENJOY wearing, but I don't dislike them as much as a lot of boots I've had in the past. They do their job and they do it well, can't say I've ever owned a boot as durable
