DORCOST300 Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades | 100 Blades (1 Box)

While I don't feel that the Dorco DE blade is the best of the platinum coated stainless steel blades (I think its worth 5 stars anyway because I do think they are a great buy (less than 10 cents a blade ... fantastic price) and better than many. In any case they are certainly better than any non-platinum coated blade or any non-stainless steel blade that I have ever used ... and I've been safety razor shaving since 1960 and have used many different blades. I've put both the Dorco and Astra blades to the test recently and did find that I liked the Astra better. Most people seem to use a blade for only a few shaves (evidently 3 to 6 shaves or there about) ... but a good stainless steel platinum coated blade can last 2 months if taken care of and that's normally how long I use them. I've tested both, and both the Dorco and the Astra will give acceptable shaves for two months. Presently I'm testing Bic's platinum-chrome blade ... I'm finding that I don't particularly like it (I think the shave it gives is subpar) and don't think it will last the two months (in fact after only about two and a half weeks I'm considering changing blades now) ... the Bic has gotten dull quite quickly and isn't holding up nearly as well as the Astra or the Dorco blades.In any case, though I like the more expensive Astra a little better, the Dorco is not at all a bad blade ... and considering the price its a great blade. So I have no problem recommending the Dorco blade ... it provides an acceptable shave and lasts well.

The media could not be loaded. Since I changed my razor to replaceable blades, I think it has been my best decision. The box comes with 10 packs, each with 10 blades. Very convenient as you can replace them every fruity shave. The quality is second to none. The best price. Very good deal!

I started wet shaving nine months ago and ordered several sampler packs of double-edged blades along with my Merkur 38C. I've been trying blade after blade in an NCAA bracket-style elimination. I've tried expensive blades, I've tried out-of-production "New Old Stock" blades, I've tried blades from all over the world, and I've tried both stainless and carbon steel blades. These Korean-made Dorco ST-300 blades win. hands down. They give me the smoothest, closest, and most comfortable shave I've ever had. My face is baby-bottom smooth with little effort, and the rougher spots on my neck smooth out with just a few light buffing strokes. I haven't had single case of razor rash with these blades. I've used these blades with creams (lathering and non-lathering), soaps, and oils--always with exceptional results. I get at least five shaves per blades at four passes per shave before I notice a decline in the closeness of the shave.In economic terms, I've gone from $2/week for blades to about $.09/per week. The benefit to my face from not dealing with razor burn and ingrown hairs is beyond price.

I've been using DORCO for years and have always used the ST301 blades(red/white packaging). Decided to try these instead since they are a bit cheaper and they are just good. Highly recommend.

Such a good deal to buy blades in quantity like this. Do like I did - buy one of the sampler variety packs (there's lots here on Amazon) and find what brand you like. Then go for a big box deal like this. Everybody will swear by their favorite brand...don't listen to them because everybody's skin and beard is different.Having said that, I have a thick tough beard, and generally need to shave every day, but I am lazy and shave maybe every 3 days. These blades are durable enough to last about 4 shaves like this. They're not so ridiculously sharp out of the package that I end up with cuts all over, and they don't dull quickly. They are my 'happy medium' blade. With 100 in a box - well, I figure I'll get close to 2 years on a single purchase, and they only take up the space of a king-size KitKat Bar in my cabinet. Can't beat that!
