Metabo HTP 18V compact blower for indoors, Skil 20V for outdoors
I thought my Skil PWRCore 20 Brushless 20V Jobsite Blower was small. But nothing prepared me for the compact cuteness of the Metabo HPT 18V Cordless Compact Blower. Just look at my photos! Both blowers are small and light, and it would be a crime to use any battery but the lightest: a 2.0AH or 3.0AH for the Metabo HPT or a 2AH for the Skil. Each blower has 3 selectable speed ranges. Within each speed range, each blower's power can be easily and precisely governed by depressing the trigger less fully. For longer sessions, each blower's trigger speed can be locked by a switch. I find the Skil's switch somewhat easier to understand and use. It's hard to say which blower is more powerful at each speed. On High, each is ridiculously powerful for its size, and I have yet to find it necessary to either blower on High. But compact power comes at a cost: loudness. Nearby listeners will be annoyed. In sound quality, the Metabo HPT wins, hands-down. Whether spooling up or winding down, its motor sounds like a jet turbine engine, in a satisfying way that makes you feel rich. The Skil sounds more shrill, especially at higher speeds. For this reason--and because the Metabo HPT takes up less room when stored, I will use the Metabo HPT indoors and continue to use the Skil in my garage and yard. PS: I'm trying to give this blower 5 stars, but the review form won't let me select more than 4. It's a solid 5. I bought it here on sale, but now that I own it, I would have paid full-price.

Good compact blower performance
It works well for it's size and is decently ergonomic as most Metabo/Hitachi tools seem to be. I use this when working my honey bees when pulling full frames of honey. Much faster and easier than traditional brushes (or, the feathers favored by Charlie Koenen "Charbee" in Milwaukee). The only downside is: the left side air intake gets caught on the bee suit material for the right-handed user. Too bad these are not as easy to find, especially locally. I would recommend this compact blower, as well as, every Metabo HPT took I own. Whomever is their product designer, seems to be keenly aware of ergonomics and had remarkable design sense. Saving-up for the (expensive) 18V Impact wrench, since it is part of the system, even though other manufacturers seem to have superior soecifications (as far as I can tell) for the same price, or less in many cases.

Surprisingly capable
Very useful little blower. If you're reading the other reviews some people say this thing feels like a toy or couldn't be used for leaf blowing...they are completely wrong! Sure, you're not going to leaf blow a huge pile for any extended amount of time, but it's perfect for clearing off a patio, landscaping debris, dust in a garage, or the back of a truck bed. I plan to use it in the fall to blow off acorns and modest leaf build up. Really great tool and I'm glad I didn't put too much stock in the reviews here because it's far more capable than many indicated her

Excellent Cordless Blower for Metabo Cordless Tool Owners
If you're in the Metabo cordless ecosystem, then this little blower is a great addtion to your collection. For its size, it has an incredible blower velocity that easily tackles both small and larger sawdust, leaves and other lightweight debris cleanup. I've only tested it in my shop but, I'm looking forward to using it to blow out all of the leaves that collect in my gutters. The build quality is as good as I expected based on my other Metabo corded and corless tools.

Small and compact blower
The first thing people should know is this is not a leaf blower to use in the Fall season. It will blow some loose dry leaves off a deck or sidewalk but when used at the high-speed setting only. That's all it will do for leaves, so if you need a leaf blower, look in that direction. This is mainly for a building/construction site. It will blow sawdust off a floor or tools. Also blows sawdust or drywall dust off your clothes. Not sure why there is a mid and low-level speed. They both are about useless for normal job site jobs. I tried it first with a fully charged 2Ah battery that gave me about 10 minutes of run time. I guess not bad considering I was on high speed. This Metabo is rated at 124cfm and 213mph. A friends Milwaukee, model 0884-20, is rated at 100cfm and 160mph. The Milwaukee, still not made for leaves, will out blow this Metabo by about 30%, but this one does what I need. I have other older Hitachi and newer Metabo battery tools, so this works with my batteries. It works fine for a small blower and its intended purpose. For leaves and big job site needs, look for a dedicated leaf blower.

More like a child's toy!
I understand why this is not on store shelves, it's embarrassing! To begin with it is tiny and more like a child's toy than a serious piece of yard equipment! It moves little to no air compared to other blowers! It would probably be good if it was about 3 or 4 times the size! It is just sad! I would be embarrassed to put my name on something like this and stores are probably too afraid to stock something like this! It makes me seriously question the quality of Metabo products! A representative from Metabo sent me a note about the above review. I would like to add this to my review. I have been informed that this blower is not designed to be used as a leaf blower. "It is a compact blower that you can use to dust off your tools at the end of the workday or blow off your deck or your garage, not blowing leaves. None of the compact blowers put out the necessary CFM to accomplish that type of task." This kind of detail about the product was not in the description. I was not aware of what a "Compact Blower" was! My mistake and I apologize for the error. I personally have no use for a blower like that.

A lot of power in this little blower, great for tight spaces, blow the dust out of autos, trailers, a must have. One drawback does not come with batteries or charger.

Perfect!
Was a bit concerned when I saw the size of the blower, but all converts dismissed once I turned it on. This thing is perfect, big power out of a small package, so easy to move around, rubberized nozzle; well done Metabo.

Epic!
This thing is bad ass! By far my favorite tool and don't let the size fool you as it has tons of power. It's size is it's strength as it is so handy to have while building.

Works for me 😀, uses my existing battery!
Very happy with this, it share the same battery with my compressor and impact wrench. I ordered this for drying my car doors, hinges , moulding, etc during winter washing.
