System Requirements: Supported OS: [Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP] Processor: Pentium IV 2.4GHz processor or faster RAM: 512MB RAM (1GB RAM for Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8) Hard Disk: 3GB free hard drive space Video Card: 64MB VRAM (Intel GMA chipsets supported) Additional Requirements: 1024x768 16-bit color display, keyboard, mouse. The number 1 selling card game for your PC and Mac just got better! Review: One of the best PC games I have purchased - I have thoroughly enjoyed Hoyle Card Games 2012. I grew up in a card playing family, alas most of them are gone and I had not realized how much I missed playing Gin, Hearts, Pitch etc. I had no problems loading this to a Win7 laptop other than what I believe was the "online" access. Since I had no interest in playing online I just canceled out. Review: Works with 8.1 and Windows 10 - When our old PC finally gave up the ghost we ended up with a new PC running Windows 8.1. Among the many, many problems we had with 8.1 one was that the old Hoyle Casino game disc wouldn't run on it. Since my husband really enjoyed playing those games, especially Texas Hold `Em, he was very unhappy. So for Christmas I went looking for a Hoyle game disc that would run on Windows 8.1. Although it wasn't shown as working with 8.1, I immediately saw a customer question and answer indicating that it did. So I jumped on it. Unfortunately, while it does indeed run on 8.1, I should have checked it out further. Although it has dozens of games, it only has two "casino" games- Black Jack and straight draw poker. Not my husband's favorite, Texas Hold `em. He has played it a lot since Christmas and can't say he's very happy with it For poker fans, his biggest issues are 1) the system limits the amount you can bet but doesn't place the same limitation on the other "players" and 2) is even farther away from true random than most computer games. If you have a stellar hand, 95% of the time another player will have something even better. He has played the other games (mostly because the poker is boring) and noticed that for many games you need to have the audio on (no visual cues for draws, bids, etc) So if you are buying for your kids to play "Go Fish" you may want to invest in some headphones for them :-) If you are just looking for a lot of variety in games for kids, this is probably a good choice. So, I was going to do the research to find a better game option, but then I heard the news. Microsoft announced that Windows 7 thru 8.1 can upgrade to Windows 10 for free the first year. Yea!! Evidently they figured out that a system designed for a mobile device isn't the best choice for a desktop so there are two versions for 10. So I'll wait until after we upgrade to look for a better casino game option. Update 8-21-15 We upgraded the PC to Windows 10 and the game continues to function with no problem and no need to reinstall.

Works with 8.1 and Windows 10

BEST VERSION OF HOYLE CARD GAMES!
Glad that I purchased this. I was afraid from some of the other reviews that it wouldn't work for Windows 10. I loaded it on both my new laptop and my new desktop which both have Windows 10. The laptop loaded the first time. The desktop took a couple of times. Be sure that there are not any other programs running. Well worth the time it took to load properly. The 2015 version of these games is not very good, so I am very grateful that this version worked for Windows 10.

Do not buy do not install
I enjoy playing card games. I ordered this on the chance it would work, I work in the IT profession. This is one of the worse installations I have ever used. After multiple attempts to install I finally succeeded game worked but all of my internet browers would fail work correctly. I was thankful I could rollback the install. Threw game away. Do not buy do not install if you value how your PC operates.

Runs under Windows 10, but with a few glitches
I am happy to have Hoyle Card Games again. I had it on my old computer but when I upgraded hardware and went to Windows 10, the old version wouldn't load. This version is not specifically designed for Windows 10 but will run under it. It is not quite as user friendly as the original software and again there are minor glitches where Windows 10 doesn't like it, or vice versa. But generally speaking, I'm glad to have a "local" set of card games instead of having to play on the internet.

Crippled as are many of the Hoyle titles
Some of these worked on my Win7 HP Laptop (64 bit). The Solitare portion, installed after the bulk of the games were installed (and apparently from a different vendor) would not execute. The rest seem passable and I'm keeping the title regardless. I've tried Hoyle Bridge and Bicycle Solarire (purchased at the Hoyle website) - installs with the same logo as the Solitare above - and they also will not run on Win7 64 bits. Questions to Hoyle tech support (for the latter two titles) were never answered so I RMAed them might get a rebate someday. I highly recommend against any Hoyle product unless it SPECIFICALLY says it will run on your OS (just saying Win7 obviously isn't enough). Wonder why there is no real competition in this market?

Runs on windows 8.0
Ordered for my wife because the prior version of Hoyle card games would not play properly on a re install of windows 8. The prior install was done under windows 7 then upgrade to 8. Installed great and all functions work to her satisfaction. The cast of players are still there with some changes. Action is snappier. Better screen. Same game action. Very happy with the game.

the bridge program is lame lame, but works most of the time
OK, the bridge program is lame lame, but works most of the time. I've learned to bid a little high because my "partner" isn't usually the brightest bulb. There's some glitch where the game can't tell the difference between hearts and diamonds. Must be that they're both red. The repartee from the players wouldn't be tolerated in any serious bridge setting, and I have the shtick turned down to the most serious level. On the other hand, the cribbage game is just fine, and the spades game is good, too.

Not for Windows 10
Says it works with Windows 10 in one part of the description but under the technical part it does not mention windows 10 and it does not work right with windows 10.
