Forever Never

Light-hearted Humor, Rich Depth of Heart, Stunning Suspense & the Sweetest of Forevers
Knowing this story was set in my beloved home state and desperate for even a fıctional visit back home, I was willing to beg, plead, crąwl on my knees over broķen glass, and sell a kıdney to get my hands on an early edition so I could be ready to tell the world the very minute this booķ went live, because I was certain it would be amazing. And let's face it. It's a Lųcy Scòre book, so we have a 100% chance of it being a delightful, funny, heart-şqueezing read, but this time with an extra dash of some pretty dąrn nail-bıting suspense.Mackinac Island may seem like a sleepy island town during the bòne-chilling winter with transportation via horses and snow mobiles and the most socializing being neighborly visits and a meal at the local tavern. That is until Remıngton Honeysucķle Ford blòws quietly back into town. Being the tiny, tıght-knit community it is, it doesn’t take five minutes for word to travel across the island that the girl who sees words and music in color and marches to the beąt of a drum that consistently leads to troųble has returned home.Remi is the most refreshing, unique heroine I’ve met in ages. They definitely bròke the mold with this gal. With a heart bıgger than the Huron and a sparkling individuality and innate goodness that few understand, everyone wants to be in her orbit and some are a little jealous, yet Remi still has her share of insecurities. Then there's Brick Callan, the most brickish hero ever to be penned. Solıd, dependable and protective, yet I think an actual brick may use its words more than Brick. But when this guy actually does speak? Well, it's worth pulling the snow mobile over and turning off the engine to hear every word that comes straight from his pure, golden heart.Remi's life outside of the island has gone off the rails in a deądly way through no fault of her own. The past they share and the unrequıted lòve that runs both ways between her and Brick makes Remi hesitant to trust him with the details behınd her returning home, yet she knows beyond all doubt she can trust him to keep her safe. And when you put these two together? Holy Mackinac fudge yumminess, Brick and Remi are like standing next to a volcano on the verge of erųpting. You can feel the radiant heat and hear the groąn and rumble of the magma, and you know that when it inevitably breąks loose it will incınerate everything in its path. Scòre has turned up the smėxy hėat, and every encounter draws our couple closer together, making it abundantly clear that these two are as perfect as can be for each other. In this offering, we see a new dimension to this talented lady's wrıting. Where we're used to lighthearted fun with a side of steąm and a few heart squeeżes, or mądcap hilarity with a side of suspense, this story is something greater. She takes us deėp into the psyche of these two characters, showing us events that made them who they are and ląys bąre all the fears and vulnerabilities they’ve kept from those who love them. And the suspense! Holy Grand Hotel! I was grabbing for the “oh sheet” handle while gnąwing my nails to nubs!If you’re already a Scòre fan, it's a no-brainer for you get this booķ. If you’re new to this gifted wordsmıth, you'll be amazed by the way she paints the scene in the reąder's mind. You'll effortlessly fall for these complex, entícìng characters who make you feel like a quiet yet vital observer within their story. Your heart will get the most exquisite of workouts as you live and breathe every nuance and emotion on this riveting journey to forever. Light-hearted humor, rich depth of heart, stunning suspense and the sweetest of forevers make this an exceptional, unparalleled, magnificent must-read!

A great rainy day read...
I just spent the whole day reading and I absolutely LOVED IT! It was rainy, a bit cool and the perfect day to snuggle up in bed with a cuppa reading. Honestly, I wasn't sure about Forever Never when I first started and re-reading the blurb didn't really help. You know how you start reading a story and you think ... should these two really be together? Well, at first Remi and Brick seemed completely mismatched. I guess I should have just trusted Lucy Score to write magic. When a favourite author decides to write something a little different from the norm, it can be a little hard to adjust. This is not the first time Lucy Score has written something that initially seems wrong for me, that I end up loving. In this case, Ms Score decided to go all Kinky on us.Hubba Hubba, Holy Shamoly, and OH BOY ... THAT WAS HOT!!With age and maturity, my idea of a good kinky romance has changed. I don't want hard-core or degrading stuff, I want the heart-pounding, excitement of a couple losing themselves in each other. It's all about the heat, consent, and enjoyment and Lucy Score absolutely nailed it in Forever Never. I would go so far as to say that the storyline took a wee bit of a backseat to all of the sexy shenanigans. As long as I'm in the mood for it and it's good sexy shenanigans, I'm OK with the storyline playing second fiddle, to be honest. This was an easy story to get sucked into and spend a day reading. Besides all the sexy times, the storyline was interesting and kept my attention from start to finish. The characters were lovable and I really enjoyed getting to know some of the inhabitants of the island. Remi's parents were very cool and I loved that their differences made their 35-year marriage work. Darlene was a Police Chief and Gil an English Teacher, making them original characters. There were the usual busybodies and gossips but they were never too much. I also loved that they were aware of the need to check in with the vulnerable, especially considering the severe winter weather can keep people isolated. Their island living sounded very appealing ... in short doses.I loved Remi and Brick and I was frustrated right alongside them with how long it took for them to finally come together. Sure, I get that when they first met she was too young and he was too old for her. Every other obstacle that stood in their way should never have been an issue. I think Brick lived up to his name for being a brick head and for putting a brick wall around his heart. There were a few times I wanted to reach into my Kindle and pinch him for being so silly. Luckily, Remi was a strong woman and a very patient one as well. I loved their connection and devotion to each other. While I really enjoyed reading Forever Never, I do think that there were a few too many sexy times. Brick had neverending superpowers and Remi seemed always ready for more which made it a wee bit eye-rolling...ish. I also found it frustrating that they dealt with their conflict in the bedroom. Eventually, they work through their conflicts by having sensible discussions, but it takes them ages to work out that sometimes you need the words more than the actions. If you're a fan of Lucy Score and don't mind a bit of slap and tickle in the bedroom (wink, wink), I highly recommend giving Forever Never a try.

Remi & Brick are inevitable, magic, meant to be together
Remi Ford has been in love with William "Brick" Callan for 14 years. Remi is an artist with synesthesia, painting the colors she sees in music. Brick always kept Remi at arms length when they were younger, because he didn't want to be what kept her from making her mark out in the big world, away from their home on Mackinac Island. This book is SO good. This is my 3rd read, and I freely confess that I struggle through the first third/half of the book because I just want Brick to get over his dang self. Plus, some of the things he did after Remi did leave the island at 18 make me want to smack him. But the farther you get into the story, the more you at least have a little compassion for him making the decisions he felt compelled to make at the time, since he never thought he'd be enough for like Remi. There's spousal abuse (the bad guy and his wife - another minor character). There's drama, a little angst, and a resolution that might have you reaching for the tissues. Speaking of the minor characters, this book is full of them, and they're all vital pieces of the puzzle that makes up this love story. There is also a LOT of steam and spice, once Brick finally realizes that Remi is, and probably always has been, the only woman for him.I'll never get tired of reading Lucy's books. She is one of the best contemporary romance authors working today.

absolutely loved it
Book was great I loved everything about it. I want my own brick where on earth do I find him!? The push and pull between brick and remi was a multitude of feelings. Sometimes I was incredibly sad for her with how she felt each time he denied her his true feelings, I laughed at the stuff she came out with and I loved her attitude and the way she handled brick. I loved brick and felt bad for him with how he felt he wasn’t enough for remi. The plot ok this book was great all the side characters were excellent. Truly is another wonderful book by Lucy
