Tire Carrier Hinge Kit (Mega Spindle)

Solid steel shaft, precision machining (for a snug bearing fit) tapered angular contact roller bearings, seal and dust cap all fit perfectly. The zerk (grease nipple) is a great touch to keep water out and hinge operating smoothly for years. Great value for the DIY’er building a swing away tire carrier

I bought the Mega spindle as I will be using it in building a tire carrier bumper that will be carrying a 35” tire, 3 gallon gas can, & maybe a hiLift jack so I wanted something that will hold up to the abuse. The primary selling point for this one over others was that the shaft is made of chromoly steel which is far more durable. When I received it, I was plesently surprised that the races were already pressed into the barrel. The only thing I wish it had was a spot for a grease zerk. However, there may be some customers that would prefer not having one, it is a product that could fit many needs. A hole could easily be drilled and taped to screw in a zerk if desired. Be sure to install the correct order. Check out YouTube videos if needed, unfortunately no instructions are given with the product. However, if you’re buying this item you are probably mechanically inclined enough to figure it out. Great USA made product!!👍

Well I have to say it was finally nice to get American made product that was awesome.. looked great and when I fabricated the tire carrier it worked great , if you’re looking for a Hinge kit ,this one will work. Thanks for the great product..

A heavy duty solution for a tire carrier

Super solid and very well made. Smooth machining and perfect fit. Bearings are strong and even the cutter pin is quality. To top it off, Made in the USA! Will be buying another when building the other side swing arm.

Great product and good price. Quality machine work. It is heavy duty but I do wish I’d gotten the double shear version for my application.
