Great option for a MC GPS
I have been using the Rider 550 for the past 3 months and I really like it. It is clear, accurate and has an amazing amount if functionalyty built into it.The ability to create Thrill Routes works very well and produces great results. The interface needs some getting used to and I might have built the menus diffrenetly (if it was up to me) but it is not a significant negative.Blutooth and WIFI work well and the cloud functionality is impressive. It is very easy to plan a route on your mobile or dektop and dynch it to the unit. Uploading gpx files from other apps is semless as well. Update are a breeze, as everything is done through WIFI. No need for manual file uploads, memory cards or anything of the sort.Usage is easy with a sharp screen, whihc is sensitive to the touch. I have no issues operating the unit with or witout gloves, no matter the thickness.Package includes all required hardware to attach the unit to the motorcycle. The RAM Mount is very high quality and is probably a $50-$75 value by itself. And then, there is the price. It is amazing. It you time your purchase right, it is half priced compared to the latest Zumo. It might not be as sharp and the screen is a bit smaller, but for 50%-75% of the cost it is a much better value.I would recommend the TomTom Rider 550 without hesitation.

Awesome--be realistic!
I read all the less than positive reviews and I don't agree with any of them. I installed this device myself and it was easy (I did not run the wires through the wiring harness under my gas tank, but the wires are securely under the tank) and just connected it to my battery. So yes, it would drain battery if it was in the cradle, but if not, it will not draw electricity and who leaves it in the cradle when they are not riding?? As for glare--in full direct sunlight, I have absolutely no issues. As for text size--first off, you should not be reading while riding--I need glasses to read, yet I can see where I am going and the turns are clearly marked as are upcoming points of interest (gas station, etc.) so I have not had any issues. As for saving routes--all of these devices are more complicated than your smartphone so there is a learning curve, but there are tons of online tutorials so you can manage quite fine once you get the hang of how it work. I have been using it since May and have had no issues. I don't use the connectivity to my phone (drains battery on my phone and bluetooth is always a bit hit and miss--not the fault of the device--bluetooth is a pain). I also don't have a motorcycle mic set so I don't know how well that works. Honestly it does what is supposed to do and does it well.

Excelente producto a un gran precio
Despues de años de utilizar Garmin me decidi a probar el TomTom. QUe cambio, la intrface del Garmin es obsoleta y el procesador muy lento. Este bebe vuela, encuentra todo al instante.
