Perfect aid to potty train a two month old puppy!
I started with the bell that attaches to the molding near the door where I take my pup outside to go potty. When we brought him home at two months he was trained to go on piddle pads and we taught him to ring the bell by taking him to it and ringing it as soon as he piddled on the pad, then saying "let's go outside to go potty", taking him out and praising him. He learned to ring it himself within two weeks and the pads were reduced and then removed. The mounted bell worked fine until the little guy got rambunctious and decided it was a play toy. I had also purchased this floor bell, so since he was already ringing the mounted bell to go out, I took that one off and set this one on the floor in its place. I rang it so he could get the idea. The next time he had to go out, he ran over and tapped it with his paw. He would also tap it with his nose.. The nice thing about this bell is that it is movable, unlike the attached bell and is sturdy and durable. He was potty trained at 3 months and this bell was the reason he is. I highly recommend!

We love this Bell. So does the Dog!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this bell a week ago. The intention is to teach my dog to ring the bell when she needs to go outside to do her "business". I didn't want a door hanging set of bells because I don't want her to learn to scratch at the door. She is doing great so far! Here's a short video of her success. I started with small treats under the bell. Then moved to holding the treat. I can now stand at a door and ask do you want to go out? And she will think for a bit then hit the bell. I make a huge deal out of her successes. There are 2 bells in a package. Sturdy and well made. Comes with a rubber holder to add non slip to the bell. Loud enough to hear not so loud a nervous dog would be scared of it. Just a basic bell. It does the job.

Almost perfect!
The media could not be loaded. My 3.5 month old golden sheepadoodle learned how to ring the bell within minutes. He loves ringing it, but cheats sometimes! The bell is sturdy and not so high pitched that it hurts your ears like some do. The only room for improvement would be the black rubber bottom-it constantly falls off and I’m afraid he may try to eat it so I have to keep the bell up and out of his reach when not in use. Because of this, it isn’t great for the original purpose I bought it for which was for him to ring the bell when he needs to go outside. I bought the bells you can hang on the doorknob but they are ridiculously annoying and he is aggravated by them and the noise they make. Perhaps I can mount this bell onto some wood so he can’t carry it off and I don’t have to worry about the bottom rubber coming off.

Great training tool
There’s different kinds of bell systems, but this one works great for our house set up in training to go outside. Plus these are easy to take on the go.

Close, but not quite
I loved the idea of this type of bell more than the doorknob type. We have cats and I didn’t want them playing with the kind that hang from the doorknob because I was afraid it would be annoying or even confuse him. I was SO excited for these and thought they were such a neat idea. However, even after trying to train for a couple of weeks, my Goldendoodle pup just didn’t fully associate it with going outside. When training, he would try to ring it, but it wouldn’t make a noise because his paw was too big. Or, he would try to tap it with his nose and wouldn’t quite hit the button. They have to be precise to make the bell ring loud enough to hear it. The final straw of this for me was that he ended up picking it up with his mouth and running off with it! It was a little funny but clearly an issue for potty training. We ended up getting the kind that hang from the door, and he caught onto that within 2 days! I think it just depends on your specific dog, but this did not work for us. The quality of the bell itself is pretty good — he didn’t break it from chewing/running off with it.

Great for dog training
Gently took my dog's paw and dinged the bell before I let him out. In about a week he was dinging the bell himself when he wanted out! I can hear the bell from other rooms in my house, and guests are impressed with his training. It comes as a two pack, so I gave the other one to my daughter when she got a puppy, and I was amazed to see her little puppy ringing the bell soon after! On my laminate floors it would slide around a bit, so I just hot glued it to the floor right next to the rear slider door and it has been there ever since. Get this bell, ring it with your dog's paw before you let him/her out, and in no time you'll be amazed to hear it ringing when nature calls!

These are great.
The media could not be loaded. I wasn't actually expecting much from these. Just thought they'd be a standard bell, but they're actually really good! I only showed this to my dog yday and it's the first time I've taught her how to do something like this, but she gets it! It's easy enough for her to do as well (once she gets her excitement under control lol) She's actually quite an anxious/ nervous dog too, so i wasnt sure if the sound would freak her out ... but apparently not. They're really study and feel well made.I get the idea of the rubber rim to stop it from sliding, but EVERYTHING sticks to it! *when I use the other one with my rabbit, I can see that getting annoying as she is fluffy and mostly white)! But over all, I'm impressed!

Only took a few days
The media could not be loaded. These bells perfectly suit our spoodle who only took a few days to learn how to use it. We placed one on either side of the external door, and he now dings the bell to get in and out. No more scratching on the door! The product is well constructed and looks like it will last. The only downside is if your pet doesn't press the button cleanly or with enough force, the ding can be soft and hard to hear. Our kids really enjoyed training our dog to use it, and it's always fun when visitors come over and they're totally impressed with how our dog presses the bell. I highly recommend it, but be prepared for a few days of training.
