Beautiful in its kind!!
💙Teething is a poetry book and it has a story written in verse by the author @_megharao and published by @harpercollinsin. 💙It is a story about three siblings - Achu, Mol and Kochu and their dysfunctional family. 💙The author has divided the book into three parts and it gradually starts from innocent childhood days to the broken teenage generation. 💙This book expressed the whirlwind of emotions and feelings. 💙The book consists of haunting chapters and the highlight is the narration transition from happiness and sadness, hope and loss, sweet and bitter, broken and come back at the same time. 💙The author beautifully used metaphors in the art of poetry. 💙Each piece in the book is deep which has to go with slow reading to get the full essence of it. 💙Overall it is a plethora of emotions and eloquent collections of wordplay. 💙The author explores home, identity, trauma, love and heartbreak. 💙Teething reads like a memoir and it is about loving life, despite the world. 💙This type of genre is the first of its kind to me and I loved it. 💙Author's writing style is fantastic, precise, lucid and fierce.

Melancholic and Mesmerising Memoir-ish Mini Verses from a Mega Writer
Three siblings, a fractured family, a suicide — these are the moving elements of this little book of poetic verses that will make your heart ache and numb your mind. But there's always hope, as the writer churns and weaves the fabrics of words that's not only beautiful to read but also intense to feel and live.In the God's Own Country, Kochu, Achu, and Mol had a troubled childhood with an abusive father and an anxiety-laden mother. When Kochu's gender identity is questioned and ridiculed, he leaves a note and take his life for good. The dysfunctional family goes completely in shambles and in disarray when Achu the elder one ponders over the happenings and reminiscence about her birth, childhood, teenage life, heartbreak, depression, self-harming, etc.The author has divided the book into three sections, and gradually moves from innocent childhood days to maniacal mental health issues. This is a noticeable literary work from an Indian women writer that is grief-ridden yet gracefully interlacing the human emotions with mallu humour and pop culture of Kerala.A must-read.

Honest and vulnerable!
"Teething" is a book that bravely confronts the harsh realities most would rather avoid, and that's what makes it so compelling. Its greatest strength lies in its unflinching honesty. While it's a challenging read due to the difficult subjects it explores and the discomfort it provokes, the author’s skillful storytelling shines, especially in the poignant final chapter, "Letters to Home."

Mesmerising
Teething by @_megharaoThere is something in this book that will make your cry, feel proud of, and smile with every single line.I am so amazed by the quality of this book and how this book owns the metaphor in an amazing and magical way. This book is a story about realisation, emotions, and love altogether grouped in poetry.I loved so many things about this book and simultaneously about Megha’s life. Megha have this magic in her to be able to present death in such a poetic way. In such a way that for a second you will feel like the one for whom these poems are dedicatedSome of the lines from the book that swayed me away:1. Earth is yours to romance.2. We fantasise brokenness because when we are broken we still want to feel beautiful.3. Don’t blame yourself for being a gorgeous Sunday afternoon someone did not want to spend.@_megharao clearly you have excelled the art of metaphors in this book and in every other poem you ever wrote in your lifetime. You are laughter so powerful and you can bring cities to their knees.I am in absolute love with this book and will recommend 10/10.I dedicated some of these poems to my sister because you will connect so deeply with it.Follow @thismind_a.mess on Instagram for more reviews.

Teething makes teeth come what may!
Deur Megha Rao.Yesterday, Mummin started reading 'My Mother's English with a giddy grin and a tear rolled down her apple as she reached the last line. And I told her, "She is my favorite poet, Man. Now you know why. There is this exhilarating yet collapising emotion to read between. the lines of your poetry, to rinse every word with tears of ache. A happy ache. The book gifts you solnce because you know someone out there, whom you have never met is writing down everything saved in the shelves of your heart, that someone understands you in and out. But it is hruising heesuse you know someone broke their thousand hearts in fixing somebody's one, that they count of shooting stars hoping their loved ones will land breaking into fragments, cry over empty kisses, and embrace trauma with every elink of their anklet. It hurts because they wanted to see the world and it will never be the same again. It pains because they wanted to offer simply love and received agony to write poems on.But as you say, it is not the brokenness that is beautiful, but the bravery. I felt brave reading your book. And I promise I shall always come out strong TEETHING-A woman that looks up to you.

A warm hug you need in your most vulnerable state!
Teething my Megha Rao is a literary gem. Its a story told in verse, and by verse I don't mean few lines arranged in a rhythm to make sense, but verses which stab you in your heart, come shining through your bleaks and makes you wanna smile while weeping. The use of metaphors is just serene, its like you feel like you belong with these words. The book is divided in 3 parts and in those there are different chapters, few chapters like second hand children, Raja Ravi Varma, Off to college, and Body outlaws feel like a personal letter from the author in the dire times of needs and circumstances. If you love lyrical writing and enchanting metaphors this one is a perfect buy for you. You'll never regret reading this beautiful piece of literature.
