Great cast-iron wok with quality built . Pre-seasoned hence almost usable after unwrapped and washed. Non-sticking with reasonable amount of oil. Say goodbye to polymer-coated utensils.

I read reviews on this and bought as sounded good.It is extremely heavy but I could have put up with that.The handles do get extremely hot so the mitts are needed.We didn’t put this in the dishwasher and washed it by hand as there were no instructions in the box.After washing it has left it extremely marked and looks like it is covered in rust. Plus it still smells of the food I cooked. I do not want to cook my food in it looking like that.I have cooked only once in it.Very disappointed with it and a waste of my money.

Heavy but comfortable to handle. As it comes as pre-seasoned, first tried to cook some Asian-style noodles. Most of it stuck to the surface, and wok rusted a bit after washing. That was a bit disappointing.After scrubbing off the rust and seasoning with flaxseed oil for 5 times.Used instructions for seasoning from the internet, not the ones provided by the manufacturer.There is a really nice blog describing all the chemistry and physics of the process and featuring typical avoidable mistakes. Seasoning process took 4 days, but the results are really outstanding.

So I was under the impression part of the characteristic was how thin wok was, but with that comes the requirement to have a decent wok burner to keep it fast and hot. This steel wok is a lot more like a normal pan, but, if well preheated, then it maintains a better temperature and enables you to still stir-fry with ease. The internal non stock finish is good and means you can use very little oil. As its non stick, you don't need to season it as you would a 'proper' wok which is handy as its one less thing to do.I don't think its quite as good for stirfry as I like a single handle to flick it as it cooks, but as an overall verdicts its a really adaptable piece of high quality cook wear.

I'm really disappointed in this wok.I thought it was going to be a real treat for me as a foodie/cook/geek when I ordered it.I seasoned the wok properly before I used it.However, it is definitely NOT "naturally non-stick" - Even though I seasoned it, the food sticks like crazy and is very very difficult to remove after - I'm not sure if the brown markings are rust or food deposits in the bottom. I have followed online instructions for cleaning the wok using just water and a metal spoon on a hot flame - but it hasn't really worked.The wok is heavy but it needs to be to keep it stable - the handles get extremely hot so the silicone mitts are required, but that makes it difficult to handle in an agile way - I think I'll go back to a proper wooden-handled wok!!As I say, I am very disappointed because it looked like a great wok, but it's turned out to be a bit of a nightmare.
