Little Girls Love Lucky
CONCERNS RESOLVED - Tek Nek Toys resolved all of our concerns! Their Customer Service department quickly responded to my email, provided troubleshooting tips, and when those did not fix the issue, they shipped replacement parts at no cost to me. Our Rockin' Rider is singing again! Great company!! UPDATE WITH CONCERNS - 3/6/2016: Only days after my 30-day Amazon return-window expired on the last horse purchase, the "I'm a Little Pony" song has stopped playing. It feels as if the ear button is not clicking properly. Also, one of the protective spring covers has torn open. I have contacted Tek Nek (the manufacturer) for support as they offer a 90-day replacement of defective parts. It should be easy enough to send replacement spring covers, but I'm not sure how they can replace the ear button for the song; however, I expect them to honor their warranty. I will update this post when the issues are resolved.ORIGINAL REVIEWMy granddaughters LOVE their Rockin' Rider Spring horses (yes, I bought one for two different households). I assembled one on my own (I'm a 60 y.o. female), and while attaching the springs took all of my upper body strength, I was able to "git 'er done." The instructions were clear, with helpful illustrations. Both granddaughters (both age 2) ride and rock vigorously and sing along with "Lucky" as they play the song, "I'm a Little Pony," over and over . . . and over . . . and over. You may tire of the tune, but they never do. This Rockin' Rider Spring Horse by Tek Nek is also a great indoor exerciser for toddlers on those rainy and cold Winter days. Well worth the floor space!

Fabulous Toy!
This is an absolutely fabulous toy. About six months ago while thinking about what we could do to keep our grandkids active and engaged in imaginative play that doesn't involve sitting around and looking at a small screen, I started thinking about how much fun I'd had riding my plastic Wonder Horse when I was a child (almost 60 years ago!). So I decided to see if I could find one for our grandchildren to ride while visiting us. I couldn't find a Wonder Horse, but after reading all of the positive reviews concerning this updated version, we decided to give it a try. Smart move. "Lucky" has been a blockbuster hit in our home ever since he arrived last summer, being in constant use whenever any of our six grandchildren visit. We just purchased two more as Christmas presents for use in their homes, and plan to buy one more when our youngest one (due in February) gets a few years older."Lucky" is very well made. Surprisingly so--absolutely no issues even after six months of heavy use. The plush body is a lot softer and more comfortable than the hard plastic Wonder Horse that I remember. And there even are plastic sleeves covering the springs to avoid the pinched fingers that seem to be a common recollection of everyone I've ever spoken with about the old Wonder Horses. The stirrups and handles allow the kids to safely hang on even while going for a very vigorous ride--none of ours has ever fallen off despite getting some significant "air" on occasion. The "talking" aspect of Lucky is a nice touch--the kids especially love the song (which is permanently etched in my mind after hearing it about 1,000 times so far). So, extremely high marks for this product. It's exceeded our expectations.

Easy setup & great toy
I've had this toy since around August now. My then 19-month-old (1yr7mo) son was obsessed with horses and still is to this day at over 2 years old. I figured this purchase was a no-brainer when I saw it on here.I'm not a real handy person, so I was happy to find out that assembling this wasn't too terrible. It did take a while, at most a few hours, which could've been done earlier had I not been doing it alone. Overall, the instructions were pretty easy to follow. The only issue I recall having was at one point when I had to drill the nail into each of the wooden sticks. I was worried I'd drill the new hole for the nail crooked and it would be too damaged to use. But it worked out. I managed to get it assembled. My son is about 30lbs/3ft now and can comfortably ride this toy. I have a crazy active toddler and he knows how to go absolute ham on it and I was impressed how well the toy held up, despite my son actually riding the toy across the room. (He hops/rides on it that hard that the whole thing gallops..) This toy is able to take a beating, in a way.It is pricey, but for us, it was worth it this is the one toy my son continues to play with regularly. It used to be almost 24/7 in the beginning, down to daily use, and now it is considerably less...only because he has a trampoline now.Anyway, if your child shows interest in this (before I bought it, I asked my son if he liked the toy while showing him pics of videos of it), it is definitely worth the cost and your child will have fun pretending they have their own, fuzzy companion that they can fit on.
