Q: What color is it? It looks a little purple - is that the case?

The color is more of a light lavender.

Q: Can someone tell me if this bed easily gets the fill over the lining?

My puppy loves this. It took me three different times with three different beds and this one was the winner . It is made very nicely and my puppy sleeps in it all night.

Q: what size dog fits for large bed?

My 11 pound pup was too large for it. My guess would be under 10lbs might fit.
