Great Receptacle, no overheating while charging an EV
After reading reviews for a number of 50A NEMA 14-50 receptacles, I chose this one. It's not the cheapest and certainly not the most expensive. My main concern in selecting a receptacle was possible overheating while charging an EV at 40A continuously for hours. I'm pleased to report that it works great, and after hours of charging at 40A, I can't detect any signs of heat from this outlet. I can feel a bit of warmth in the charging cables, but not the plug or outlet. I'm very pleased with this product.

Good quality for EV chargers
Installed to charge Tesla in my garage. Works fine and didn't get very hot like the previous one installed.

Good for Tesla -- better than orange stores's
So, the Tesla documentation says to use an industrial grade receptacle, but I failed to see that. In my haste to get a charge port installed in my garage, I rushed over to the big orange store and bought the $10-ish Leviton one they had in stock. This worked for about a year. At that point, the car informed me that the outlet's temperature was getting too hot, so it dropped the charge speed (current) to half. I pulled the plug out, and noticed that the black plastic seemed... idunno, oxydized? Kind-of cloudy looking.I ordered this one, and immediately noticed a big difference in the construction of the two receptacles. The contacts inside of the plug only run half of the height in each of the holes on the Leviton. But, they run the entire height on this model, making better contact and electrical conductance with the plug.Installation is just as easy with this receptacle, as with the other I had. Now, no complaints... from me, OR the car. I get a full 30 Amps at 240 Volts.

Was ok to start off then gets too hot!
Gets hot and shuts charger down to much slower rate of charging. Could be a fire hazard.Don't be cheap, spend the $ on a good Hubbel NEMA 14-50.

Used for EV Plug
I bought a Tesla and needed a receptacle to charge it. I did my own work and chose this 14-50r because it's rated for industrial. Works great. The connection feels solid when inserting the plug. I used 6/3 wire and torqued it down to spec.

Best one for headache free installation.
The outlet is heavy duty and the wiring installation is excellent. This uses big screws and a V neck channel for the wire to go in. This is the best locking mechanism for the wire so it doesn't come loose in the box.

No problems here.
Used a torque "wrench" to seat the screws. Be smart - tighten/wiggle/tighten-again.That said, no problems yet with this one. Cringers Frossed.

Nice quality NEMA 14-50, the plug holds firm and the wires make a good connection in the back.
The media could not be loaded. The NEMA 14-50 receptacle by Elcore Aleftaf, appears to be a decently adequate receptacle for many at home EV chargers or whatever else you might need this for. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – The quality seems to be good. It looks better than the cheap ones at the big box stores, but less then name brand industrial grade version. It looks to be on the lower end of the industrial scale and should be sufficient for most of our needs. The full contact wiper blades make for good contact with the plug posts and should be a minimum requirement for you, if your charging an electric car.II. Usability – The plug holds the charger tight and doesn’t get excessively hot on extended charging’s.III. Installation – Its fairly easy and straight forward being similar to others. The screw clamps in the back hold onto the wires firmly and make a good contact.Overall, I’m pleased with this product so far. The installation provided confidence in its quality, contacts and it has performed well for all that I’ve asked of it. The is a great way to get adequate quality and abilities at half the cost, but if you’re looking for top of the line without concern for the cost, this isn’t the best choice. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

Great quality
Purchased this for an EV charger. Much better quality compared to the one I have. The socket seems to hold the plug much tighter, suggesting better contacts.
