A couple of issues with unit:- the bolt holes were not threaded, so bolts from old unit didn't fit. Had to use self-tapping screws to attach.- the unit didn't line up snugly as it should. So, whilst the car door closes and locks, my feeling is that there may be issues later on.

Exact replica of the OEM version. The metal screw holes is not pre tapped and I was upset by this, however, the OEM version from BMW is not pretapped either. In fact, while the older version I had removed seemed to be better quality, it has a long throw to open the door while the newer design has a short throw. This is a excellent copy of the original design. Now I don't know how well the door would stay closed in a collision. It is possible that the OEM version keeps the door closed on impact a lnd this version allows the door to swing open at which point endangering your passenger.

The holes are not threaded and it drove me crazy, common sense doesn’t tell you to try and still put screws in it but.. after a lot of research none of the others are threaded because the screws on the car are self tapping. They don’t look like it but if you look closely at your bmw screws they have a triangle shaped tip. I screwed them in before installing in the door and guess what it threaded the holes perfectly. Install was a breeze.. I literally was going to return this and then realized all the other parts had the same issue.

Great product! Is actually more quiet than the Original BMW OEM! Not very easy to replace but that is BMW’s fault! Be aware that the 3 main screw holes do not have the “grooves” for the screws but if you screw them in the part Them take them off before you put the part in the door it will be easier! Save me a lot of money doing it myself! Make sure you research on you tube to make it easier on you! Very happy with my purchase!

The holes are NOT threaded!!! Had to purchase self tapping screws (which don’t sit flush). Why this isn’t compatible with the existing screws or why it didn’t come with new screws is beyond my comprehension. I gave it 2 stars bc once installed it does work (although it doesn’t seem as strong as the original actuator and if it fails it’s gonna be a pain to remove)
