Are these long handled or short? I want to use them to watercolour handmade greeting cards and would like short handle.

These are long handled.I think they had some short handles also.

Are the bristles protected in shipment? i bought a w&n sceptre gold rigger the brush was loose in a bag with no sleeve. it was delivered today damaged

All of their brushes should have a protective, plastic covering. Send it back and order another one. You should not settle for damaged merchandise. Good luck!

Is this brush (bwsr2, #2 rigger) dimensions (hairs only) 2.5mm x 20mm, please? thanks for the help!

The width of the hairs only is 1 mm at the ferrule. Of course they splay out from there when dry. I replaced a Jean Haines sable rigger which has the same diameter but must be tapered beaus the WN brush paints a fatter line.
