Motion Sensor & Alarm

Used to train my new dog from Omon who did not know the english language. Helped us know when he went to the door to go do # 2. No issue with #1. I put the alarm next to the dog door used so when I was in the kitchen and he went to the door, I would run to put him outside, as for some reason he would go to the door and poo. He is now completely trained and has learned english. Give your rescue a chance if he/she makes a mistake. Something like this and your patience will work miracles for your newbie. Remember, it can't work without the human's co-operation.

In my line of work, I need to focus my attention in one direction for long periods and I want to minimize the chances that someone can sneak up on me. This package is a great deal, but would it work at the distance I needed? I set up the sensor at the entrance gate to my work area and put the alarm unit on the dashboard of my truck, about 250 meters away. It was mostly line-of-sight, with some sparse trees in the way. When my coworker came through the gate, I was greeted with a pleasant chime that thrilled me out of all proportion. This is a cool little unit and I'm super happy I found it. It will be going everywhere with me. Update 1: Exactly one day after the return window closed, the receiver has stopped working. I will change the batteries and see if that helps; if not, I will test Amazon’s customer service. All I want is a unit that works. Update 2: I changed the batteries and that didn’t work. I was getting ready to take the receiver apart and make sure everything was connected, but it suddenly magically started working again. (Shrug)

Fast shipping and the product works like a charm or should I say chime. I like the fact that it works off of batteries or a plug in because if the electricity ever goes out it will still work on the batteries and you can move it anywhere. It's a great product for security alerts because when you put it on the chime setting the alert is very loud so you will hear it throughout the house no matter where you are. This is important because it will give you a heads up if someone is on your property. It was easy to set up and I am very satisfied with the product.

Works as described. Alarm is loud enough to spook a intruder in a room but it could be louder. But does the job for the $. The sensor is very sensitive so u have to be quick to get out of the sensor view once u turn it on. Says u have like 10 seconds but its more like 5

3rd UPDATE: After four years, some water did get in and we replaced the outdoor unit with the same item. We now found that you can seal the sensor in a freezer ziploc, protects it from weather outdoors and it still works to alert! Very glad to have this product. 2nd UPDATE: Two years of use now, no problems, this is a FANTASTIC product. UPDATE: Have used this for over a year, still working great. Highly recommend. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Have used this for a month now. The sensor is outdoors to notify me of people coming up our long driveway. I just placed it on the ground in a corner, it is surrounded by rocks and getting rained on. It has done great! It detects both cars and people walking up. Note that even on "Low" the notification is VERY piercing and loud for inside a home. You will hear it! Have had a couple "false alarms" that I think were birds hopping around nearby, and one late at night that might have been our local raccoon or deer. I did not expect it to survive well in the rain and with the range outdoors, I am very pleased.

Perfect for children or elderly monitoring. It has a loud and soft alarm and is able to be heard when the safety of your loved one is an issue.

Amazon needs to facilitate negative star ratings for use when customers have been ripped off--as happened here. There were no accompanying batteries or 6V adaptor so I couldn't set the thing up until I had gone online for the user instructions and assembled those. (With my otherwise busy schedule that took me a while.) Online instructions said to use 9V batteries, but after I bought those I discovered that my unit used AAA batteries instead, so I had to go out again and get those. Nearly $95 later, I was finally able to assemble the thing only to discover that it is defective and doesn't make a sound. Therefore it is UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY USELESS. Amazon won't take it back because by the time I was able to get it assembled I was past my return date. WHAT A COMPLETE, EXPENSIVE RIPOFF!

I use this so I can keep my garage door open when I use the internal door to go into the house. The motion detection works well...a little too well so that you have to be careful where you point it. My garage opens straight to the street, and I set up the motion detector almost perpendicular to the street facing slightly outward, and it started detecting cars on the street three houses away. Nothing fancy here. Three tones - chime that beeps four times either low or high (I use this on the high), and a scary alarm setting. I just set the motion detector on a shelf in the garage, and the alarm on a stool inside the house, and try to remember to flip the on off switch when I go through the door. The alarm module uses C size batteries, but you can purchase an adapter to plug it into the wall. The adapter is a little more expensive than I would have thought...and unfortunately I didn't have one that output the same voltage.

This product is awesome!!! I purchased this 2 weeks prior to this review and video attached... I had someone break into my back yard and steal one of my marijuana plant... I purchased this unit plus some high end Alro cameras. Crooks don’t care about cameras these days... They came back, and got scared off with this alarm. I only had the setting on chime as the alarm setting is awesome and is super loud and however I kept forgetting about it when I go out at 5 am and wake up the family cause I tripped it, so I put the speaker in the shed Rather than in the house. Which worked better however forgot to put it in alarm mode... happy to see even the chime worked. Seriously, this is the only thing that saved my additional plants from being stolen. Btw I’m in Canada and totally legal. The video speaks for its self as a review for this product!!
