Believe the video reviews! This is by far the best flat iron I've had for at home use. Heats up in less than a minute, and stays hot while using. There's no gap between plates so you get even tension on the whole section of hair. Lightweight and comfy in hand. The buttons are placed out of the way so your hand doesn't accidentally push them. I have long, thick, wavy to curly hair. I color my hair regularly so worried about burning my hair or color fade. Not a problem. I've used this on damp hair & dry hair - always leaves it silky, shiny, straight with only 1 or 2 passes. Protector is a must for any hot styling device, but you don't have to spend a fortune on it. I use Tresemme Spray Protector, 370° setting and I love the results I get.

One of the best most affordable straighteners out there. It works so well on curly or not so curly hair and has lasted me awhile. It goes up to 450 degrees and stays hot. It also works well at lower temperatures. It’s been easy to travel with and the perfect size for your hand while spending time straightening your hair. Very satisfied.
