Each of these bags are stuffed full of wood chips. They are chips, not pellets. Each wood brings full smokey goodness to your food. I mostly smoke meat, and like to experiment with mixing the various woods for specific effect. Mad scientist of smoking ribs. Chips are thick enough that they will smolder for a good long time so you can use less wood per session than you need with pellets. So each bag will last several smoke sessions depending on how big your BBQ is. For the occasional whole chicken or rack of ribs, each bag lasted me a bunch of sessions.

I bought this since I had no idea what to buy. I have used some of the wood types but not all. My smoker is electric to avoid high an low temps. I looked up what temp the meat should be when done. It's almost like coloring with numbers. All turned out good.

I work at a hotel / restaurant and I do a lot of smoking of meats and stuff and I'm out of Perry Iowa and I notice that this company is out of Norwalk Iowa and I was wondering if there was a way we could possibly pair up and maybe like get it to where I can get an order from you guys every week

I purchased this product to get a sampling of different woods, as I've just recently started smoking. I found the variety to be very nice, and there's more than enough for several long or many short smokes. I'm enjoying blending some of the hard and fruit woods. I will buy this again. Chips are a good size, and well dried.

So far this has been a great buy, allows me to sample different woods and combinations at a good price.

Works really well for smoking pork ribs and pork shoulder.
