I had totally forgotten I installed 2 of these well over a year ago. Just been using them as normal light bulbs. So when we lost power around 8PM Tuesday night, it was so wonderful that we were not sitting in total darkness, rather, regular light in the room! I stayed up until about 2 AM stocking fireplace to keep some heat. The one light bulb we had in this room lasted with me. It was still working the next night, but dimmed quite a bit. Still enough light to see around the room. After this power failure I ordered more for my Son and his beautiful wife! There are adapters to recharge them available. I just ordered more for my family and friends!

Power went out in a storm and, out of habit I flicked the light switch and BAM! There was light, in a power outage! Instead of flicking the switch and then feeling silly for trying to use the lights as in the previous storm. Will be getting a few more of these. I love having function light switches without having to do anything.

This is not my first purchase of these. Storms, Hurricanes,POWER OUTAGES, This is a MUST Previously I had only had to use these on poweroutages of a short duration. But the Last Hurricane I had NO Power for almost 6 days. I LOVE THEM!!! your can carry them in your hand, hang them with the enclosed hook, orjust screw them into a light fixture. I was Covered. I put one in every essential room and then had one I carried to unlite spaces. These illuminate a much larger space then a flashlight. If put in light sockets or lamps you can turn them on and off by the wall or lamp switch. The ones you carry have a button on the back of the screw top. If you are ever with out power you will wish you had these. They are now on my essential list.

These were order for emergency only. I was told about these from a church member and was told they are great.
