Barefoot splendor
The media could not be loaded. Update: 8/23/2024I got these in January and have put about 300 miles or more on them. Not only do I get compliments on these shoes everywhere I wear them, they are VERY comfortable, and the minimalist design has resulted in an increased strength in my feet, ankles and calves. I even hiked for miles in Joshua Tree National Monument in 90 degree heat. The soles are beginning to wear out, so I will be purchasing another pair. Now, when I wear shoes like Hokas, recommended by a physician, my ankles scream. In these shoes, my legs celebrate, and my feet feel like they are gripping the Earth's core!Update: 2/24/2024It has been about a month with these shoes. I started wearing them more and then went for some extended trail walks (~5 miles). I love the way they engage my feet, ankles and calves. I feel a positive attachment to the ground, unlike over stuffed shoes like HOKA. While the HOKA shoes have their benefits, these minimal soled, barefoot shoes are great.Original Review:Some reviewers mention the lack of support and being able to feel gravel or stones. They may not be aware that these shoes are meant to be barefoot shoes - no support. The idea is to feel the ground and to allow one's feet to spread out as they would without modern footwear.I just received mine. The fit is perfect. They look great. I can't wait to take them out for a spin. I have been wearing Whitin Men's Cross Trainers as slippers for months. I really enjoy the way they feel, so I bought these chukka shoes.Benefits:1. Low cost2. Barefoot design3. Attractive

Pay less for more comfort
Nice style, lots of compliments, lightweight, great value, easy to wear with most outfits, nice soft leather, and very durable. Love the color

It works as it should. Great value
I've been wearing these for a few weeks now. I'd say these are good "flats" to wear when you want to protect your ankles, have a good look, with a good fit, and also have durability. The color is ok (wish they had a darker color availible. They smell like leather and are a good value for the money.

Great looking shoes
Cutest, most comfortable shoes ever! Shoe laces seem to suck. One broke after a few days and just picked some up here on Amazon and they’re better quality.

Sewn sole nice idea, but sole bottom wears rapidly. Maybe ideal for car trunk (boot haha).
+Sewn sole shoed not fall off like most modern glued on soles.+ Could last years if not worn often, or stored in hot car for emergency footwear.+ Better grip than Sperry's (a more expensive option to get sewn soles)+ Less expensive than Altama Water/Urban hightops.+ More compact than many "sneaker" type shoes, in case you have large feet (like size 12) and find that you can't fit your shod foot on a bicycle pedal.+ True to size - I expected to need a 13, but got a 12 from warehouse cause why not, and surprise, it fit fine.- Sole compound wears quickly. I anticipate holes in the soles, soon.- Slippery feeling when wearing socks, but that goes away.- Tongue painful when laced up tight, especially at first. Just lace them super loosely.- Feet will hurt if you are standing for a long time on pavement.- Weird foot massage feeling when new, in lieu of even cushioning.+/- Funky/unique/stylish/goofy look.Price is decent. I may have talked myself into throwing these in the car trunk rather than wear them daily, in case I have car trouble when out wearing slippers. As a kid, I wore shoes until they had holes in the toe or wore through the sole, and that was with growing feet. As an adult, I've found shoes don't last long, even if I don't wear them often, because the soles always start to come unglued. My best shoes have been Sperry topsiders, and Walmart $20 hikers which give you about $20 worth of wet/dry/muddy hikes before falling apart one way or another.I've been interested in sewn soles, for this reason.I also wear slippers quite a bit (flip flops) because they are easy, comfortable, and affordable. But this means, that I could be out and about, run into some kind of emergency, and then be stuck in footwear that is not good for more than a mile of walking, or any running, climbing, etc.I have not found a good pair of shoes that could be put in a car, and months later, still hold together. I may have just talked myself into throwing these in the car. Run out of gas, car trouble, zombies etc., and they'll be good for more miles than I would likely need to walk, and cheaper than Sperry's.
