ORVANCE Orthodontic Wax, Clear Moisture Activated Braces Wax Alternative for Pain Relief, 72 Count

I have lingual braces…they go behind your teeth instead of in front. These wax dots have saved my tongue from a lot of pain. They are easy to apply and stay on for the entire day. They are somewhat difficult to remove but I find that they are worth the effort. They are more expensive than the wax strips but I found that these are easier to apply and stay longer.

For the record, jaw is fractured and I am completely wired shut along with rubber bands. I still need to use dental wax where it is wire only, but where the metal braces are...they really do adhere well, even after using the waterpik. Tends to not adhere as well where there are bands. Do they last forever-no. I think it also depends what you are eating and drinking. I am drinking water and replacement meal shakes and fruit smoothies and the rest is going through a straw.They may seem expensive, but to me, it creates just thin enough protection and when i need to talk, my inside of my lips do not endure more damage. Yes, it does make me more of a mouth breather, but that is just a personal issue of mine. I can breathe just fine if my mouth is completely closed.Again, with the option of different alternatives from dental wax, i think this is a great alternative. It may work better for some people and some may just not like it.

I started using these after I could no longer deal with wax. These dots are far superior to wax, have no taste, stay in place (once molded with just a tiny bit of moisture), are transparent, and are extremely comfortable.I will say that I have noticed a difference in the product recently. The dots/squares are about half the size that they used to be. So now they require 2 on one bracket sometimes. Which means I have to use /buy more. But again they are far superior to wax.I am wearing them on my front right and second teeth in the picture.

Thank goodness a friend recommended these. They work great and are much easier than trying to shape the wax sticks from the dentist.

First time with braces. Having a difficult time. Decided to research and find something to use besides the wax. Came across this product and I’m so loving it! Easy to apply. Stays on when I eat and sleep. Longer than the wax. I use them for my important days out and use the wax during the night. Wish more OrthoDots could come in a box for what the price is. This really is an awesome product!!!
