Out of Date
Beware! This book is not up to date. It was published in 2012.It doesn't cover Office 365 Home which must have been added more recently & that makes me wonder what else has changed so that I am getting the wrong information. It's my fault. I should have checked the publication date but, when I searched for Office 365, this book came up top of the list. Amazon should not allow computer books more than a year old to do that or they should put a notice on them indicating their publication date.

Office 365 For Dummies
As many other Dummies - Office 365 helped me quickly to get through the new technology puzzle of Office 365. Perfect to get started quickly for people who have limited time around the technology world but need to get jobs done in other fields.

makes office365 worse...not better
i'm giving it one star only because I can't give it less than that. This is the WORST "dummies" book that I have ever tried to use. Everything that I want to look up as I am starting to use Office 365 (which is frustrating enough as is) I can not find in this book. There is nothing about "One Drive" or "d.docs.live.net" as for Publisher there is only one statement and that is useless because I am try to open documents and save them in other drives and it is not working.... don't waste your money on this one. Keep a tablet handy and google what you are trying to figure out

Setting up Office 365 - in a business environment not Home Premium.
This book is for those working in a business environment. If you have Office 365 Home Premium, this is 'not' the book for you.Currently there does not seem to be a book covering :-The setting up of a Skydrive account, so that you can make the best use of it. Such as saving to the computer as well as to the Cloud and keeping them in sync. The basics of the various programs, there are those familiar with a couple of the programs, but not all of them.Making use of the extra minutes of Skype that are available with this subscription.Describe the setting up of good security and whether you should control your backups, instead of leaving it up to Microsoft. This book assumes you already know the programs you are going to use and concentrates on setting up the necessary environment to enable you to co-operate with your colleagues. It seems to be succinctly written, but I cannot verify some of the information. For instance I do not have and have never used Lync so I cannot comment on it.I generally enjoy the 'Dummies' series of books, for the way they impart knowledge. This book is written in a more serious veinand I found it harder to read, however I am sure it will meet the needs of its target audience.

I don't feel that I can rate this as What I did was my fault. I bought a new computer with Windows 8.1. I had Microsoft works on my old computer and loved it. When I got the new system I went with office 2013. I thought the book on office 365 would help me to learn to run the program. Needless to say it did not. What they say "that you can't teach an 82 year old dog new tricks" is true .
