I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and tension. The clip is about 1/4 inch wide and almost identical to the original... maybe a little stronger tension but still easy to install. If I keep this one out of the sun, it should last much longer than the original.

Let me save you some trouble and tell up front that these are the replacement clips you're looking for. My manual vacuum was no longer staying attached to my pool pole, constantly unhooking whenever I twisted or moved the vacuum around. I tried the replacement Porpoise V clips from my local Pinch A Penny here in Tampa, FL, but they constantly unhooked from the pole.These clips have higher tension, and more importantly, the ends are slightly larger then the Porpoise branded clips. This makes all the difference. My vacuum now stays attached to the pole, like it's supposed to. Not saying they're perfect, but at least they work.

This clip works for attaching a net or a broom to my pool pole, to perform maintenance on my pool.I have been using these kind plastics clips for 20 years. There is only 1 problem with this batch.These plastic clips are 1/4 inch too long. They will hold my pool brush on my pool pole, but the V-end of the clips stick out. They will not tuck into the brush. Someone goofed on the measurements for these particular V Clips.

Maybe too strong, since if you want to remove something from a pole it can be a struggle to push down the nubs lol. Sounds like a fake complaint but if you had arthritis or low hand strength, I can see it being a real problem.However if you're just looking for stronger versions of the cheap lil plastic Vs that come with your pool equipment, these are pretty solid. Maybe too solid..
