Work as advertised
Have had these installed for about a month now, and they work fine. As others have pointed out, they come set to fail in the open position, so you must make a simple adjustment to fail locked. Suggest you test them prior to installation, to make sure they work as you want them to.

terrible documentation
The strike, itself, is quality built and it works perfectly, once you figure it out. The documentation for it is a resounding fail, even the info on their website is useless. For instance, this strike is adjustable fail secure or fail safe, how to make the adjustment? Don't look for it in the documentation, and it wont't tell you on their website. Being an engineer, we figure things out, as it turned out, it's a very simple two screw adjustment on the back of the lock. Also, the way the lock works is not obvious and there's no documentation to teach you. My advice, if you buy this lock, bench test if you can, build the system and learn it before you start running wires or cutting open walls.
