Saved so much money doing a DIY fix with this
The navigation/control screen on my 2008 Lexus IS-F stopped responding to touch. This is commonly caused by a faulty ribbon connector on the touch screen. I removed the console, took it apart, and attempted to repair it with a solder pen. Ultimately I couldn’t fix it so I decided to order this replacement screen. The new screen showed up well ahead of the shipping schedule and was a direct replacement for the old one. Once I had the console reassembled and installed back into the car, I reconnected the car battery and turned the car on. The moment of truth had arrived... I touched the navigation screen and it finally worked. This was a fairly painless fix. The Lexus dealership wanted several thousand dollars to replace the entire console so this saved me a bunch of money. This has the same part number as the old one I removed and looks and performs the same as the original touch screen.

Poor Screen image quality
This is unfortunately my first negative review of any purchase. Purchased based on reviews and description of item described as new. Received item on time, when package opened I sent an Email and left phone message questioning the difference in ribbon connector tab from original and description of unit from their photo. I researched and saw some aftermarket connectors with the same. After no response I proceeded with install. My original screen was still operating bright and clear, just touch screen digitizer function not working. Installation was simple, but when turned unit on functions all worked but poor screen quality, not as bright and clear as oem. Also difficulty viewing, display has a blurry rainbowed effect. I suspect the unit to be refurbed screen with aftermarket digitizer. Guess I'll just have to live with it since already installed, but disappointed as I take pride in my vehicle, and my work. If Germanaudiotech responds to this review it will be the first communication since this writing.

Great product
This works great. I was really surprised that the clarity and resolution is much better than the OEM screen. Installs very easily with assistance from YouTube how-to videos

I'm so glad I bought this
I'm so glad I bought this. It works great. I went to an after market installer and was charged a minimal amount of money to have it installed.

As good as OEM, if not better!
I just finished swapping the OEM Toshiba LCD with another Toshiba LCD, and AFAIK you can't tell the difference between the two, other than sturdier wiring.Chances are if you're looking at this, you probably have a non-responsive navigation screen (or worse). On one extreme, you can fix the broken circuit or replace the digitzer (<$75) and on the other extreme you can pay somebody else to do something WAY too expensive (like swap out the entire navigation system). But for those of us with a skill level slightly above what it takes to assemble a computer, but don't want to mess with glue and solder, the LCD swapout is more than doable. There are definitely a fair number of tiny screws and delicate plastic connectors (the size of rice grains), but it CAN be done by hand as long as you're careful.Do your homework (YouTube videos and Lexus forums), take pictures as you go along so you don't forget anything, and you'll be fine.
