Great build quality for a great price
I got this PSU because MSI is a brand I trust. I’ve used MSI parts for around 20 years and they have never let me down. I find the build quality is always great and well packaged so the items get to you un-damaged.ProsGreat cable quality and everything you need for your builds.Silent switch on the PSU so if your PC is idle and the PSU is cool the fan will switch off.Nice design on the side of the PSU so if you have a case where you can see the PSU then you are not just looking at a black box.A choice of 12v GPU cables.ConsThe SATA power cables are a bit too long for my build so I did have to tuck them in a bit more than I would have liked.Over all this PSU has been a great addition to my all MSI build and will deliver the power I need to run my PC and give me some headroom if I want to add more drives, upgrade my GPU or over clock my system. At £109.99 I personally feel it’s an amazing price and with a 10 year warranty over the 7 year you get with the MAG PSU for an extra £10 I feel it’s a no brainer

Lovely premium PSU, not worth the current £130 price but for anything around £100 it's great.
I was very relieved when i received this item. I had had to return a motherboard AND ram as i was building this computer so for a start, the fact that this works as intended is brilliant. It has a low-noise option which i make use of and a very good power efficiency, slightly above the 80plus rating, not that that matters a lot.The box is lovely, glossy printing and thick cardboard, which is a great bonus and helps it feel like a premium product. It has 2 cpu power cables and 3 PCIE ones which is more than a few others around this price point. The 12vHPWR, though not in use by me, has a yellow connector at both ends to make sure you plug it in fully and don't explode your lovely NVIDIA gpu. I will add that pcie 3.1 standard apparently doesn't have such issues, but as a 3.0 product it's a good way to alleviate it.Will rate 5 stars, no issues whatsoever unlike other products from ASUS AND CORSAIR AHEM...Anyway 5/5 does what it says on the tin and with great style, efficiency and price if you get it for £100-110

Great Performance and Excellent Value PSU
Ordered the MSI A1000G PCIE5 for my new PC build a few months ago, powering an AMD Ryzen 7800X3D and AMD RX 6900XT. It is a bit overkill for my system right now, but leaves plenty of room for future upgrades especially with PCIE5 compatibility and ATX3.0 standards. The PSU is well built, feels robust and is quite small compared to similar alternatives, allowing you to easily install and access cables when built. It is fully modular and there are plenty of connections and cables, all fully black, with native PCIE5 cables included for neatness.During use its provided reliable performance and is very quiet during all workloads. It has a button on the rear to adjust the zero RPM mode when below 40% power. The size in particular made it very easy to install compared to previous PSUs I've used.Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase, the PSU was priced very competitively when bought and often has additional offers. It also has a 10 year warranty for peace of mind.

MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 Power Supply Review
The MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 power supply is an impressive choice for those building high-performance gaming PCs or workstations, especially when paired with a powerful CPU like the AMD Ryzen 7800X3D and a GPU such as the RTX 4070 Super. Here’s a breakdown of the key aspects:Positives:* Tiered Performance: The MPG A850G PCIE5 is in the higher echelons of power supplies, offering excellent build quality and stability. With an 80+ Gold certification, it delivers efficient power conversion, ensuring that your components receive clean and reliable power without wasteful heat generation.* Quiet Operation: One of the standout features is how quiet this PSU runs. Even under heavy load, it manages to keep noise levels impressively low thanks to its high-quality fan and efficient cooling design. If you’re looking for a power supply that won’t disrupt your gaming or work environment with loud fan noise, this one delivers.* Perfect for High-End Builds: With a power output of 850W, it’s more than enough to support power-hungry setups like the Ryzen 7800X3D and RTX 4070 Super. This PSU handles the power demands of these components with ease, ensuring that your system remains stable even during intense gaming or content creation sessions.Negative:Stiff Cables: While the build quality is solid, the cables are somewhat stiff, which can make cable management a bit more challenging. They don’t have the flexibility of some other high-end power supplies, which can make routing them through tight spaces or behind the motherboard tray a bit cumbersome. It’s a minor inconvenience but something to keep in mind if you’re aiming for a clean and tidy build. Conclusion:The MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 is an excellent power supply for those building a performance-driven PC. Its quiet operation, efficient power delivery, and sufficient wattage for high-end components like the Ryzen 7800X3D and RTX 4070 Super make it a solid choice. The stiff cables are a minor drawback, but overall, this PSU offers great value and reliability for gamers and content creators alike.
