RAM Mounts RAM-HOL-UN9U X-Grip Universal Holder for 9"-11" Tablets Compatible with RAM B 1" and C 1.5" Size Round Ball Bases

I'm a pilot and I rely on both a Microsoft Surface and an iPad Air 2 in the cockpit, and I'm happy to say that both work really well in this cradle. I'm also happy to say that the construction quality is very good. I've dropped mine, stuffed it into all sorts of cramped flight bags and generally treated it pretty roughly, and it still looks and works like new. The parts that matter are all metal and strong enough for demanding use. A few of the other brands I've tried might be lighter, but the plastic parts some of them use just never held up well for me. My Surface tends to fit directly in the cradle (I don't use a case), and the iPad fits in the standard Apple leather case (but probably not a thicker case). Both fit well in either portrait or landscape mode and are solid enough to be secure in turbulence - I've yet to have an issue of either tablet popping out of the mount in rough air. I also like that the little clamps remain mostly out of the way - doesn't block the camera, microphone, ports, buttons, etc - although the iPad is somewhat challenging to press the various side buttons. One of the great things about RAM is that you can buy the individual mounting pieces you need to create a custom mount, and you can use the same cradle in many different ways. In one of the planes I fly, there's a 1" ball mounted on the panel and I'm able to connect a short articulating arm to this cradle for a perfect fit. Other aircraft I fly don't have this mounting ball, so I use a RAM suction cup to attach the cradle to the side of the windshield, or one of the RAM clamps to clamp the cradle to the yolk. Very convenient being able to carry a single cradle, yet having all these options. One very small issue is that the back plate tends to be insulating and so my tablets tend to get fairly hot, especially if I leave the cradle in the aircraft on a hot day. A major improvement would be a way to have some sort of small heat sinks on the back of the cradle to help with this, but it's overall a pretty minor issue. This is pretty much the perfect cradle for a larger tablet - definitely worth a look if you need to mount your tablet in any sort of boat, vehicle or airplane.

This is used to mount my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5" tablet, and is mated to the RAM Mounts Universal No Drill Car Mount (RAM-B-316-1-202U). This is able to hold my tablet and case securely, and is a great fit. The No Drill Mount I mentioned is pretty wobbly, however that's a different review for a different product. The only point of annoyance, and this is really me finding something to call wrong, is that when I was attaching the extra arms, you need to place the nuts in the arm and slide it into the device, and if you aren't careful/if you do it screw side up, you will drop the screw into the device itself and it becomes a PITA to remove. I had to hold the mount screw side down to make sure I didn't lose the nut inside. However I have never had to remove those arms, and in all honesty most can get away with not using them as the device is held pretty secure. Other than that, it really is an awesome carrier for large tablets with heavy duty cases, just make sure you get a base that works for your application.

I was afraid that this unit world feel flimsy, flex, or use cheap springs, etc. Not the case! This thing is legitimately heavy-duty. It holds my 12" iPad Pro (bought in 2019) like an eagle's talon. No movement whatsoever. That part is amazing and makes this the only iPad holder I would recommend for mounting inside a vehicle. This is the stuff that all the police use, and for good reason. The cons: The "talons" that hold the tablet into the mount are too close together to allow me to dock and charge my Apple Pencil on top of my iPad while it is mounted. That's a huge bummer, as it means I can't just leave the Pencil in its natural home to charge when not in active use. If they could be adjusted out by just about an inch and a half, it would not be a problem, but there is no way to adjust them. The second is a nit-pick, but a frustrating one. The tablet side support arms that can be (optionally) mounted to prevent movement when you are using the tablet in portrait orientation are incredibly difficult to attach. It uses a small nylon-backed nut in an open grove that you must balance (along with the mount itself) with one hand while using your other to line up a bolt from the bottom through the case. The nut is not secured in the grove. It slides back and forth and is inside the plastic housing while you are doing it. If you let the nut fall off the grove, it gets stuck inside the plastic enclosure. Really? A simple thumb screw would have helped this problem immensely. So, it doesn't get 5 stars from me. But, if I were rating in on build quality alone, I would easily give it 5/5. Just pay the money and buy it, you won't regret it.

Great product unfortunately wouldn't fit the the Samsung s10+ tablet with the side holders deployed. But holds ok without them. Wish I had more stability with those arms in place

Shipping: It was terrible! It was a next day item that took 14 days to arrive. And that only happened after I called Amazon to complain. It was bought directly from the manufacturers Amazon store. The shipping was delayed twice and was scheduled to arrive after the trip that I needed it for. Assembly: At almost $100, I don’t expect it to require assembly, and good luck on that. A nut is placed in an adjustable arm that is flipped upside down and the nut falls insider. It then required disassembly (the part the manufacturer did) to retrieve it. Quality: My experience with Ram products suggests solid aluminum and well built. This was light weight plastic and feels cheap. Over all, I would not recommend it. Save your money and buy two of the competitors in case it breaks.

pour un IPAD pro 12,9"- 5 ème génération-le support est trop petit! un seul côté cale la tablette-il ne manque que quelques cm alors que les commentaires pour ce produit précisent que l'on peut l'utiliser avec cet IPAD -le problème ne vient pas du vendeur mais de RAM MOUNT

Ce support pour tablette est vraiment idéal pour une utilisation en voiture. Il tient parfaitement en place, même sur les routes un peu chaotiques, et maintient solidement une tablette de 10 pouces sans aucun jeu. L’installation est simple et rapide, et l’orientation de l’écran reste très fluide. Que ce soit pour les longs trajets ou pour occuper les enfants à l’arrière, c’est un vrai plus. Très bon rapport qualité/prix pour une solution aussi pratique.

Die Haltung macht einen Sehr guten Eindruck. Hätte sie gerne behalten, aber die Seitenteile sind zu kurz für mein Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+. Außerdem drücken die Halter genau auf den Lautstärkeschalter wenn man es mittig montiert.
