Perfectly fits my 8" (205mm) Newtonian and easily goes over the tightening knobs for the spikes (or whatever they're called) that hold the secondary mirror. I may end up cutting a notch in it so it slips past the focuser for a more secure fit (and hope it doesn't impact the shield's integrity), but it's pretty secure as it is. It does stick out pretty far, so a strong gust of wind could potentially knock it off center and impact the FOV, but Newtonians are not great in the wind anyway. It ships flat and pretty stiff, so it took me a little time to get it to the right size, but its sturdiness means it won't sag or flop around. Very well made.A note about the box it came in...the dew shield comes flat, and the Amazon box was enormous! So big, I could fit inside! Could be that the facility was out of the correct boxes or something, but I just had to laugh.

Very high quality materials, very nicely made. A nice soft spongy leather like ring at one end grips your scope with some authority (holds on well in the wind). Quality flocking, amply Velcro, well stitched together. Heavy duty (I added a few ounces to the ballast).

Works great, purchased to reduce in-city light pollution on Celestron 8” Dobsonian and is a noticeable difference.

the product is good quality, the proble is that send me the wron zize,shipping for returned is 43.50 so is more expensive return to buy a new one, at the moment i lose my money.

For whatever reason they don't make one that fits the OD of a 6" Newtonian. At first I tried the 150mm+ version but it was too small.. It's also very, very short for some reason, in depth.Then I ordered the 200mm+ one which is too large, but the velcro still reaches just fine. It's not a perfect circle when it's put together, but it doesn't get in the way of the FOV of the scope so it just looks imperfect. The depth of the 200mm one is much deeper.The insides of both were covered in a seriously dark black felt like material that reflects absolutely nothing. I'm happy, I recommend

Takes a little while to break in to where it stays perfectly round but so far so good. Hook and loop material seem to do a good job keeping it on the scope. My AstroZap heater stays put on the shield.

I have an 8 inch Newtonian and I had some street lights near by that were showing in my camera. This worked well to block the light from coming inside the tube. The outside is a hard plastic and the inside has suede type material which helps block light from reflecting.
