Picks up well and saves a few bucks off the clear channel version.
Great antenna for the price and picks up well. I pick up most of channels about 70 miles away and haven't found anything that works any better. While it works as well as the clear channel unit I have it is a better price.

FINALLY an antenna that actually works!
We have purchased numerous outdoor antennas that advertise over 200 mile reception. None of them worked until this one. Kinda pricey, but worth it since we've had to trash so many other Five Star brand antennas.

Pretty decent antenna for the money.
I purchased this to replace the Five Star HDTV Antenna - 360° Omnidirectional Amplified Outdoor TV Antenna which worked perfectly in my attic for a total of three months. I installed this one (roughly 40 bucks cheaper) where the old antenna was. It gets the strongest local channels fine although the CW affiliate from the local station is a bit wonky. However, the slightly weaker channels that the old antenna brought in like a champ are gone. It's not bad for the money. If you're in a larger city with a big market, it should work great. If it's a smaller market with more distant channels... eh. Not so much.

Quality built antenna.
I'm very satisfiedwith the range and quality of antenna. Right now I get 52 channels only set up in my 3 season room hooked up to 1 TV. and surrounded with tree's. Once spring arrives will see about putting it outsideabout 30 ft.

Really impressive antenna
I had ordered the Five-Star antenna over other options because it was pitched as being "multi-directional" and included 40 ft of coaxial cable. I installed the antenna in the attic of our two-story house. I assumed 40 ft would have been plenty to get to the basement, where we home-run the three ports to our televisions. Oops. I didn't take into account that the basement is three floors, not two, below the attic and that the antenna would be 10 ft away from the chase to the basement. Oh well, ran over to HD and picked up another 30ft of coax, spliced it and voila, we have over the air television. The tuner on the TV that has a tuner (our main TV, a Vizio, does not, so had to order one) picked up about 40 channels. Not bad. The picture is really amazing, Very, very clear. Very happy with the purchase. Install was a breeze. Intuitive, but you really need to be handy. The instructions were Ikea-like. No instructions on how to mount, but that was simple. The mount is sturdy. So far, so good. Goodbuy overly expensive cable. Now I can afford to pay for eggs.

Works pretty well in my rural area
I am about 35 miles from broadcast towers. I live in a heavily forested area on a hill. If I put this on a pole or microphone stand inside the house I get pretty good reception (better than my medium large roof antenna). The trick for me is you have to put it in exactly the right spot and then I have to move or rotate it a few inches to get certain hard to get stations. I might buy another and mount two on a microphone stand inside the house pointing in different directions

Doubled my channels!
I went from 12 channels to almost 30! Took a little bit to setup and install but well worth it!
